DIRECTOR, PROGRAM MARKETING NICKELODEON (Contract, NY-BASED)

In this role, you will oversee the development of marketing strategy and lead campaign

launches for Nickelodeon Studio titles across platforms while our full time director is on maternity leave (approx. 8 month commitment).

You will lead a team of marketing and campaign managers and work in partnership with cross-functional teams and distribution partners to ensure brand and IP consistency in all environments.

You are the glue to new campaigns launches rallying the company around a single vision and ensuring break-through communication strategies in a cluttered media environment. In addition, this role is instrumental in helping to define the mission, target audience and voice for the Tween and Young Adult segments.

This position reports into the VP, Program Marketing and has the primary responsibilities:

● Oversee movies & series campaign lifecycle from kickoff to launch including: marketing

and creative strategy & positioning, briefing, campaign development and execution,

performance monitoring/optimization.

● Foster trust and establish the working relationship and marketing process with studio

executives, EIC’s, Paramount+ & 3rd party marketing teams.

● Lead agency pitches, cross-functional brainstorms and marketing-driven campaign

alignment meetings that ensure tactical ideas are on strategy.

● Connect and lead creative ideas to media strategy and partnerships to create high

impact launches that break-through.

● Possess ability to handle multiple campaigns at once, and thrive in a fast paced

environment. Anticipate and react seamlessly to strategy and content pivots.

● Actively seek out, identify and excel at innovative marketing approaches that break

through, including media partnerships, digital/social media, influencers, events/stunts

and PR.

● Develop innovative and integrated social strategies alongside Nick & ATV social teams

that leverage big talent, grow fresh stars and amplify both our content and movie studio

brand.

● Collaborate with partner departments, including Production, Social, PR, Talent,

Programming & Paramount+ and 3rd party partner marketing teams.

● Oversee Manager whose main focus is ensuring campaign assets and collateral are

delivered on time across all placements, partners and audiences.

● Actively track, analyze and apply campaign learnings into real-time optimization and

long-term approaches.

● Develop internal and external presentation materials and decks for strategy meetings,

partners, Production & Exec Teams (as needed with Marketing Manager).

● Communicate different facets of campaigns to executives, EIC’s, and talent teams.

● Foster team growth and development (alongside VP, Program Marketing).

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

● Bachelor’s Degree required

● 8-10+ years experience in movie and/or TV marketing, preferably at a studio and/or

streaming service

● Equally fluent in creative and media strategy across platforms

● Proactive, organized strategic thinker with the ability to multitask work and people

● Must be skilled at working within and collaborating with cross-functional teams at all

levels, as well as third party agencies and partners.

● Must be able to work within a very time-sensitive, deadline driven environment

● Strong knowledge of social media, digital ecosystems, influencer programs and talent

building

● Must communicate effectively (both written and verbal)

● Preferably located in New York area

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

● Ability to interpret analytics and apply research to make informed recommendations

● Strong desire to work for a global brand and help drive brand affinity for Nickelodeon

● Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Slack, Outlook, Word, Excel,

PowerPoint

● Passion for kids & family entertainment; previous experience marketing to children/parents a plus
