Creative Strategy Senior Manager
About This Role
Fandom is looking for a Senior Creative Strategist to join our Marketing department on the Custom Solutions team, reporting to the VP of Custom Solutions and Experiences. Our team exists to showcase the best possible ways for our advertising partners to activate Fandom audiences with our brand, products, and ecosystem - empowering the global sales organization to drive revenue. The Senior Creative Strategist will be responsible for ensuring high standards of creative quality for client pitches and execution of sold programs by working collaboratively with cross functional teams to conceive, develop, and execute innovative integrated marketing concepts for clients.
This is a hands-on creative expert and individual contributor role that will influence our most visible bespoke and standard custom solutions by sharpening creative for existing advertising solutions, developing new bespoke advertising solutions and developing owned and operated concepts that attract sponsorship and drive media investment.
This candidate should be infinitely curious about the world, enthusiastic about turning client briefs into unforgettable Fandom campaigns and experiences, and passionate about collaboration when producing creative.
You Will...
Creative Development
- Originate new and material ideas that define a unique perspective for our endemic and non endemic advertisers
- Develop and refine content, creative, and messaging that resonates with the Fandom audience on behalf of our advertisers for new proposals and existing client asks
- Collaborate with agency partners and internal teams on campaign development, video and digital production for campaigns and key event-related assets
- Communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience
- Translate complex strategic approaches into easily accessible creative concepts
- Understand how writing and conceptual ideas can be used to tell a story on behalf of a brand within the Fandom portfolio
- Dazzle a room in meetings and command respect with smart creative and smart thinking for a variety of entertainment, gaming, and non endemic brands
Custom Production - Creative Direction
- Serve as the client liaison to ensure their brand and messaging is represented in the creative strategy throughout the production of sold custom campaigns
- Act as a strategic partner by challenging clients with smart thinking, offering guidance and counsel where necessary
- Oversee the creative direction for production of deliverables to ensure highest standards of creative quality
- Work collaboratively with a team environment with directors, producers, designers, engineers, strategists and product managers
You Have...
- 7+ years of relevant agency or integrated marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience translating data and insights into creative content in meaningful ways
- A portfolio that showcases applicable work experience and a demonstrated history of participating in culture
- Working knowledge and experience or interest in topics related to pop culture including entertainment, video games, streaming services, anime, community and culture
- Understanding of industry trends and today's creative landscape and how fans engage with content, and trends within the marketing
- Experience supporting a sales org and collaborating with cross functional partners
- Strong experience in creatively leading development and production for integrated marketing campaigns across multiple mediums and formats, including .com, mobile, social, ad product, video/content, interactive, OOH, events, influencer marketing, etc.

- Partner to Marketing and Sales leadership team by keeping them dialed into creative trends and data that are driving relevant industries
- Contemporary taste in design, copy, art direction, music, pop culture, etc.
- Advanced design and art direction skills that cover multiple creative projects
- Be a sounding board and supportive creative center of excellence
- Possesses the ability to unpack a brief, dissect business goals and challenges, and identify creative solutions
- Work autonomously, with little direction
- Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills that will
- Opinions on strategy and brand, and a readiness to push back when needed - tenacity and stubbornness when the situation calls for it
- Drives deep collaboration with internal partners and external vendors
- Be a self-starter and an early adopter with a stable tenacity in the face of ambiguity
- Work globally as a creative center of excellence
