POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly creative and organized Senior Social Media Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead the charge in growing our social media presence and boost community engagement by engaging with our audience through gold-star community management as well as being a day-to-day point-of-contact for our social community across multiple channels. You’ll work closely with our Customer Experience, Creative, and Influencer teams and play a key role in our organic marketing efforts, bringing the Urban Skin Rx brand to life through compelling social media content, consumer engagements, and written storytelling.
Ideal candidates are natural content creators who live and breathe social, have an in-depth understanding of social channels (with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest), and have prior experience growing social follower counts for a brand or publication.
A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of social media, a passion for beauty, someone with a proven track record of planning, delivering, and reporting on a range of social media campaigns, across various social platforms, and successful demonstration of building the organic social footprint for the brand. They should be multi-taskers, creative thinkers, problem solvers, goal-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media
· You’ll flex your creative muscles by writing compelling caption copy and creating written content that fits the voice and look of Urban Skin Rx and is tailored to each channel.
· You’ll own day-to-day community engagement efforts aligned with our marketing calendar, to drive brand awareness, audience growth, traffic, and sales.
· Craft and refresh brand voice across all social platforms.
· Publish outbound content (paid live and organic) and optimize that content.
· Partner with cross-functional teams on brand responses and campaigns
· Conduct weekly online social listening efforts to capture overall brand sentiment across owned social platforms.
· You’ll contribute to the conception and ideation of double-tap-worthy and shareable campaign assets. Your insights will directly influence how we approach Instagram reels, Tiktok videos, and Pinterest guides.
· You’ll readily test new features across platforms to adapt to changing algorithms and best practices.
· Identify active social communities related to the skincare industry and actively engage with them as the brand.
· You’ll support reporting and analyzing social media performance and make adjustments and recommendations for improvement on voice, tone, posting times, etc., to drive engagement.
· Work with the marketing team to provide qualitative insights on social content performance and community health in sentiment reports.
Community Management
· You’ll turn everyday engagers into real fans of the brand with best-in-class community management across all channels and help bring the brand’s personality to life on social media.
· You’ll be responding to customer comments and customer queries daily and in a timely manner, responsible for evolving the community strategy and approach.
· Lead POVs, community-first activations, and engagement strategies.
· You’ll be identifying the best-of-the-best UGC and organizing it internally.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
· 3+ years of relevant and proven social media experience creating content and growing social channels at a brand, agency, or editorial media outlet (a focus on beauty, skincare, and lifestyle preferred).
· Has managed direct reports
· Able to oversee social media channel communication for the full week (including weekends and evenings) with the support of a team.
· Proven expertise in growing social follower counts and extensive knowledge and understanding of social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn).
· Highly organized, proficient in Dropbox, Zendesk, Google Drive, Photoshop, Canva, and experience with social scheduling tools such as Sprout, Planoly, and AirTable.
· Passionate about all thing’s beauty, skincare, and wellness is a huge plus
· Provides thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices such as content publishing guidelines, KPI benchmarks, and channel growth strategies across our organization.
