As the Influencer Marketing Director you’ll create, lead and execute best-in-class strategy across affiliate and influencer programs for four beauty brands — Laura Geller Beauty, Mally Beauty, Julep Beauty and Cover FX. You will own the affiliate and influencer performance, cost and ROI budgets, and KPIs for the aforementioned brands working closely with our Growth Team and Brand Marketing Team. The programs will primarily to support our paid ad program, but also our PR and brand awareness campaigns and events as well as organic social media. This role reports to the Brand Marketing Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure influencers are integrated into our 360 marketing plans. Be highly collaborative, build relationships and trust.
  • Help establish the role of influencers within the marketing mix, supporting PR, organic social, and earned media initiatives as well as paid media.
  • Strategically identify talent and influencers for campaigns, including identifying non-traditional partnerships that improve ROI and achieve campaign KPIs.
  • Identify cost re-investments on existing influencers and non-incremental activity to drive increased marketing efficiency for the affiliate and influencer program.
  • Measure effectiveness by understanding, applying, and championing analytic tools to evaluate against set KPIs, ensuring our content strategies are successful and resonate with our audience. Lead with a ‘test and learn’ approach to new tools and formats across the social platforms. Share takeaways, backed by data, across the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies and networks as needed; identify trends and new opportunities looking ahead to marketplace news and changes.
  • Manage affiliate network meetings to ensure clear process and accountability (weekly, monthly, quarterly) with external business partners and the internal growth team.
  • Drive forward best-in-market platform on-boarding for localized influencers, ensuring global strategy is localized to maximize results.
  • Develop clear new initiatives to exceed growth targets and drive customer acquisition and develop influencer selection process to drive forward influencer best practices.
  • Lead the affiliate and influencer teams, provide direction to the work and resources of our business, and ensure we recruit, train, and retain the best staff so they are well-motivated to achieve our mission and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable influencer marketing experience and relationships with agency or talent. Strong understanding of contract negotiations and global governance strategies.
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving; able to define a vision and set up the right structures and processes to execute success.
  • 8+ yrs of Social Media and digital expertise; with a deep understanding of platforms, algorithms, and trends. You’ll be a true digital enthusiast who is passionate about beauty brands!
  • A highly collaborative and team-orientated persona with demonstrable relationship management skills – able to inspire and champion influencer marketing programs internally; Ability to coach and mentor junior members in the team, ensuring their professional development.
  • Proactivity with a start-up mind-set, able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical approach and strong eye for business – comfortable interpreting and working with performance data; proven ability to drive new customer acquisition via data, testing, and learning.
