Role Overview
Aestuary is looking for a Director of Growth to drive, execute, and optimize marketing channels throughout the marketing stack. This role requires a strong driver that can execute, resolve issues, keep departments on schedule, be detail oriented, and operate under conditions of incomplete information and extreme ambiguity with agility and comfort. This is a high impact role that requires strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. This role will support the CMO and will help manage the growth team and other agencies to ensure consistent growth while strategically building Aestuary’s portfolio of brands.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of our marketing plans working closely with management, creative and content teams, and distribution partners to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for our brands and products
- Drive end-to-end development and execution of marketing plans across multiple brands through the entire marketing stack, including paid (paid search, paid social) and organic (CRO, email/SMS, SEO, affiliate/influencer, etc.) channels. This includes optimizing budget, bidding strategy, and campaign structure; producing forecasts, managing creative development, weekly/monthly analysis and results reporting
- Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales
- Hold regular meetings with the growth team to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team consistently performs above standard
- Oversee agency and internal team(s) to ensure budgets are optimized, targets are met/exceeded, and reporting is streamlined
- Monitor, track and optimize KPI’s across all channels and brands and take data-driven action to continuously improve performance
- Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints for multiple brands
- Develop business cases in support of new marketing strategies, organization budget requests, strategic projects, and more
- Assist in the process of evaluating new brands to bring onto the Aestuary platform
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of direct-to-consumer ecommerce experience. 2+ years of experience managing agencies and internal team members
- Additional consulting or investment banking experience preferred
- Topical knowledge across paid channels (paid search, paid social, etc.) and organic channels (CRO, email/SMS, SEO, affiliate/influencer, etc.)
- Experience including but not limited to commercial strategy, pricing, customer acquisition and retention strategies and execution, new product or feature launch management, performance marketing, growth marketing, operations, and growth strategies
- Project management experience excelling in managing procedures and deadlines throughout a project lifecycle
- A team player who thrives in small, start-up and fast paced environments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and turn it into actionable insights
- Forensic attention to detail with the ability to execute projects from beginning to end
- Strong sensibilities in mapping customer journeys to target customer experience
