Beautyblender is seeking a highly motivated leader with a passion for beauty to lead the brand management strategies and execution of its business. In this position, the Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for maximizing revenue across tools and complexion categories, brand stewardship of positioning/voice/mission/vision, along with other strategic new business development and growth opportunities for the brand business. This individual will work cross-functionally across the organization partnering with product development, retail marketing, Comms, DTC, creative, as well as our sales teams.

This individual must be highly collaborative, action oriented, and have an ability to think strategically with a passion for tactical and detailed marketing execution. The perfect candidate is someone who not only loves beauty but is obsessed with wanting to disrupt the category and make a bold statement through our approach to breakthrough products and marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. The Director of Brand Marketing will lead the business brand building and near and long-term growth strategies across all channels based on a strategic analysis of customer segments, marketing mix, trends, and competitive landscape.
  2. Define and evolve the brand positioning, voice, mission and vision, creative look and feel, in partnership with CMO and Owner/Founder.
  3. Create and help execute comprehensive, disruptive marketing plans across all marketing levers, including but not limited to social marketing, influencer & partner marketing, PR, channel, digital, experiential
  4. Support existing countries in operational GTM execution, promoting a digital first mindset
  5. Oversee the development of the content calendar to support “always on” evergreen campaigns, new product launches, and regional / retail partner needs
  6. Manage the flow of content creation to ensure content is developed in a timely manner, proactively finding opportunities and efficiencies to maximize content opportunities
  7. Own development of the overarching social and influencer strategy and manage the execution of strategy across all platforms to increase brand love and drive engagement
  8. Work across Marketing, Creative, and DTC and Comms departments to ensure social strategy is aligned with brand priorities
  9. Collaborate with Product Development to develop the innovation product pipeline calendar with a high level of partnership with operations, taking into account historical analytics, seasonal customer behavior, merchandising objectives, and competitive dynamics.
  10. Go-to-market planning and cross-functional collaboration within the business.
  11. Develop out of the box ideas for brand growth beyond Beautyblenders’ existing channels.
  12. Manage the marketing budget including revenue, spend, and forecasting for all programs.
  13. Manage, coach, and develop team members.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years prior marketing experience in beauty, makeup/tools experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required
  • Diversity of experience across marketing, product development, social and creative
  • Experience developing and launching brands
  • International brand experience
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing teams successfully
  • Customer-first mindset and passionate about addressing the customer's needs
  • Strategic, proactive thinker with the ability to create a vision and translate it into action
  • Works effectively cross-functionally up, down, and across the organization a strong, collaborative team player
  • P&L management with excellent analytical skills inclusive of budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, self-starter, accountable, and organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects
  • Ability to adapt to changing and ambiguous situations; thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  1. This job is based in NY (Currently in office 1 day a week, 4 days WFH)
  2. The environment is professional. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

  2. Travel long distances
  3. Lift up to 40 lbs.

TRAVEL:

Travel is required for this position up to 25%.
