The Marketing Director for the RPG Group is a leader driving consumer acquisition through innovative and effective marketing and brand development. This role will drive the consumer advertising, branding, and word of mouth marketing for Scopely’s portfolio of RPG games including Marvel Strike Force, WWE Champions, The Walking Dead, and Looney Tunes. This person must be able to deliver with hands-on management of creative execution, acquisition strategies, and promotion. This role works in partnership with Creative, User Acquisition, ASO, Distribution, and Product teams to build and optimize marketing and advertising that drives consumer awareness, interest, and conversion.

What will you do?

  • Create, execute and manage the overall brand strategy and vision for the Scopely games: Marvel Strike Force, WWE Champions, The Walking Dead, and Looney Tunes.
  • Oversee a team of brand marketers to support each title in your portfolio.
  • Develop and/or manage brand identity, logo, name, and icon for your titles – working closely with the IP-holders and Product team to get alignment and buy in.
  • Write creative briefs for internal and external creative teams to ensure we produce best in class creative consistent across all channels and resonate with consumers - including UA creative, trailers, viral content, and talent/influencer.
  • Work closely with UA partner and Creative Lead on continuously ideating and testing the most effective performance advertising campaigns that are both on brand and deliver excellent KPIs.
  • A leader in driving integrated launches and developing ongoing marketing strategies in partnership with other team members across performance marketing, social acquisition, TV and Mass Media, PR, influencers, promotions, and community functions.
  • A key contributor to ASO testing roadmap and analysis; owner of all visual creative and copy for app stores.
  • Drive the consumer identity and awareness of the brands outside the game; including review, feedback, and approval of advertising, app store creative, and marketing creative.
  • Support day-to-day marketing relationships with IP holders, GM’s & product teams, and developers.

What do you need?

  • 10+ years of consumer marketing experience, preferably in gaming, entertainment, or digital live services.
  • Experience working with mass IP entertainment brands: film, TV, toy, or game brands such as Marvel, WWE, The Walking Dead, or Looney Tunes is a benefit
  • Strong experience in developing/driving impactful creative campaigns, and excellent creative and aesthetic judgment.
  • Experience in digital advertising and marketing. Experience in mobile user acquisition advertising is a bonus.
  • A KPI and results-oriented person, capable of driving both tactical optimizations and media mix strategy and recommendations.
  • Desire to own projects through their full lifecycle: ideation, execution, and analysis.
