Position Summary:
The OOLY Marketing Associate assists the marketing team to gather and curate content, maintain and build the brand, develop and support campaigns, and provide administrative marketing support to management. This person should be a collaborative partner and self-starter who is proactive, highly organized and able to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines. The position is responsible for creating marketing materials, managing marketing data, reporting, and supporting the marketing efforts in a variety of projects and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Communications & Social Media Support:
● Support Marketing team members including but not limited to Associate Director, Marketing & Communication and Marketing Coordinator to help grow and cultivate OOLY’s ever-expanding social media platforms
● Assist content team in creating and implementing successful social driving campaigns from conception to execution
● Help develop strategy and grow social media presence on Pinterest, and other relevant and emerging platforms
● Manage YouTube channel ensuring videos are current and linking to e-commerce and catalog playlists accordingly
● Assist in overseeing day-to-day activity for social media community management across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube), such as commenting on posts where OOLY is tagged or featured, curating repost-worthy posts, organizing used images and reposting Instagram stories with appropriate linking
● Assist in developing marketing editorial/content calendar for 360 degree digital marketing plan, campaigns and initiatives
● Support team in communication/public relations efforts, including influencer and affiliate program
● Curate and create native, high-quality content (including DIY crafts) for digital marketing and for social platforms (Instagram reels and stories, Pinterst pins) through video/photography on own phone and third-party editing apps
● Source and organize visual content (photo, video, GIFs) by specific brand content buckets
E-Commerce Support:
● Support marketing team members including but not limited to Associate Director, Marketing & Communication and E-Commerce Specialist in tackling website related projects, managing existing systems, and maintaining content for websites
● Help manage projects with cross-functional teams for all on-site visual assets, including product launches, promotions, and new product bundles
● Maintain merchandised pages for email campaigns and product landing pages
● Maintain DIY craft project hub, craft pages and blog ensuring all pages are cataloged, up to date with current products and optimized for best UX experience
● Execute weekly product merchandising and onsite search improvements and optimize search queries.
● Facilitate all miscellaneous site updates, including copy, product description writing/editing, assets, blog posts, press, and other page content.
Email Marketing Support:
● Assist marketing team in building out dynamic email marketing campaigns
● Assist in ideation, creation, copy writing and analytic tracking for email builds
● Research trends and ideas across industry and competitors
Marketing & Channel Support:
● Assist in overseeing marketing related operations and logistics such as Tradeshow and local event and activation support, ordering products/supplies, competitive research and activation ideation.
● Handle in-office duties including packing/shipping, product closet organization and labeling, etc.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field of study
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of full-time related working experience or equivalent internship experience.
