Community Marketing Manager

Lunchbox
New York, NY, USA ⚠ [Archived] No Longer Accepting Applicants

What We Are

We’re a collection of enterprise solutions that redefine the digital restaurant experience. You might find us a little biased, but not in this category; we’re committed and unwavering to our mission and initiatives — all day and everyday. You can’t put us in a box because we’re the whole package. We’re an exceedingly savvy team of tech and food enthusiasts. We help build out performance tools to drive guests to restaurants — and only restaurants!

Lunchbox is for restaurateurs, by restaurateurs, and we’re shouting that from the rooftops! We’re led by food people who care. Our team has won some fun culture awards and you can find us in the press. We regularly launch stuff that helps the industry and we’re not afraid to roll up our sleeves and get dirty.

Opportunity

As the Lunchbox marketing and brand teams evolve, we’re looking to add a Community Manager to help galvanize our social media and community programs.

This is not your traditional Community Manager role. Our Community Manager will be an individual who is highly innovative, not afraid to be experimental and take risks, and is “in-the-know” of new social platforms and trends. Lunchbox is looking for someone who is ahead of the curve, can drive hyper creative strategies that make an impact, and be the voice of the company on social platforms. Creativity is in your DNA.

This individual will be responsible for growing our community of customers, brand advocates, ambassadors, influencers, and affiliates. Daily tasks will include managing our social media programming and team, influencer relationships, and acting as the face of Lunchbox in industry communities (Slack groups, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) This candidate will evaluate and act as the project manager for any market educational programs (certifications, curriculum, etc.)

This candidate will work closely with our brand team to launch and build a go-to-market process for brand campaigns. This candidate will work closely with our Event manager to source talent & speakers for Lunchbox events.

Light content & graphic design skills required. Restaurant/hospitality industry experience mandatory.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll engage and experiment with our social media programming — scheduling posts, evaluating our strategy, creating new strategies that have never been done before.
  • You’ll work towards launching and building a go-to-market process for all major brand campaigns; popup events, product launches, billboard activations, etc.
  • You’ll keep a pulse on where our fans live, what communities they hang out in, and how they talk to each other (and us!)
  • You’ll create unexpected and unique content that will leave our clients and followers wanting more.
  • You’ll manage a rolodex of industry influencers and speakers.
  • You’ll evaluate, engage, and grow our community of loyal Lunchbox enthusiasts.
  • You’ll serve as the leader & idealist for market education programs (certifications, curriculums, etc)

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years experience in online community management, specifically Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Experience using Sprout Social or a similar social media management tool
  • Direct experience scoping and launching community initiatives in a startup environment (e.g. building online forums, launching ambassador programs, creating event series, etc.)
  • Skilled in growing a community to drive top-of-funnel business
  • Conceived and successfully launched a curriculum, certification course or other educational programs, meeting the needs of both the community and the business
  • Worked globally and have the ability to understand how to tailor experiences and content across the world.
  • Experience working as a brand advocate. You’ll be one of the ‘faces of Lunchbox’.
  • Excellent and articulate communicator
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Experience in startups, and readiness to share what you’ve learned

Think you have what it takes, but not sure you check every box? Apply to the role anyway!
