OVERVIEW:

MONAT’s Digital Marketing team is looking for an experienced, passionate, highly self-motivated, multi-talented TikTok Specialist and Content Creator to join our Social Media team. (This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule due to COVID19). The ideal candidate should be a hair and skincare-lover who balances a creative mindset with data-driven strategies, and a passion for all things social media, with a full understanding of TikTok trends and its vibrant online community. You will work cross-functionally with our various departments to ensure that TikTok becomes a priority channel for MONAT – driving its content and community strategy while building an engaging and positive space for our audience to interact with the brand. You will be the go-to person for everything happening in the app, from ideating storylines, executing them, reactively jumping on trends, and briefing our brand ambassadors to create best-in-class content.

As one of MONAT’s Social Media Specialist & Content Creators, and partnering up with the rest of the Social Media team, you will be

  • Working at the center of the Social Media team, and closely with the Creative, Copy, Digital and Influencer Marketing departments, you will be the sole point of contact for the brand’s TikTok channel.
  • Participate in social ideation and campaign planning, ensuring brand consistency on all company social media platforms to drive revenue, growth and brand awareness.
  • Responsible for leading the content creation strategy - reactively and proactively producing storylines that align with brand messaging.
  • Publish content daily during top performing times once Social, Creative, and Product teams have provided their input.
  • Craft strategic copy and utilizing hashtags when necessary for Copy team to review.
  • Lead on identifying and leveraging trends through native content creation.
  • Ensure brand consistency through tone of voice, messaging and visuals
  • Ideate and create Reels and IG Stories (including graphics) to support cross-channel initiatives.
  • Continuously understand and analyze the needs of the brand and interpret how those needs come to life on TikTok.
  • Vetting ideas that you, as a TikTok specialist, know are not suited to the platform or our particular market.
  • Share weekly performance, community feedback and opportunities in weekly marketing deck.
  • End-to-end management of the platform, incl. creating, editing, publishing, copy writing and reporting on post performance.
  • Monitor execution of social media posts as needed (occasionally on weekends).
  • Partner with other departments and external content creators to develop on-brand content to drive growth and sales.
  • Participate as social media “Correspondent” on site during events and photo/video shooting.
  • Source UGC for campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other Digital Marketing initiatives if needed.

You have…

  • 2+ years of professional marketing and/or social media experience (Required) preferably in Beauty, Fashion or Direct Selling (examples of work will be requested).
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) Marketing or Media Communications
  • Comfortable on-camera with experience in editing within the TikTok app.
  • Experience acting as a self-starter and operating in a fast paced, start-up environment.
  • Background in detail-orientation with organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency managing social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Ability to work during the weekends with content creation (seasonal brand events) and handle community management in a timely manner.
  • Experience using social media analytics tools.
  • A creative eye for aesthetics and branding.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills; excellent copy editing and proofreading skills.
  • Nice to have: Spanish writing skills.
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends, as needed.
