Coordinator or Junior Account Executive, based on experience (full-time role)

LOCATION

Candidates must be based in or easily accessible to NYC (NY, NJ, or CT). This role will be fully remote with the possibility of attending client meetings and events in person.

JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator/Junior Account Executive role will be responsible for supporting the beauty + wellness PR team. This role will be reporting directly to two Directors.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reading daily industry updates and sharing industry news recaps with the agency and clients where relevant
  • Keeping the master media list up-to-date on Muckrack, and supporting on the creation of additional media lists
  • Maintaining internal and external files as well as the company drive and keeping them organized at all times
  • Supporting outreach and follow up for editorial gifting
  • Researching and assisting in the creation of trend reports
  • Assisting in writing and sending trend pitches for clients
  • Assisting in day-to-day editor communications
  • Supporting event logistics and execution, including on-site staffing
  • Supporting creative mailer logistics and execution
  • Handling sample send out requests and returns
  • Working with the team on monthly, weekly, and daily media reports
  • Handling daily media monitoring and clipping, sharing placements with the clients
  • Assisting in the execution of Octoly influencer campaigns
  • Assisting in research and creation of agency materials, such as lists of PR/marketing awards and updating event calendars
  • Scheduling client meetings and calls
  • Creating call agendas and recaps for client calls
  • Prepare, manage and store beauty products and mailings
  • Supporting the PR team with day-to-day activity

REQUIRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge and passion of the media and beauty industry
  • Can quickly learn key platforms such as Canva, Muckrack, Octoly, etc.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Is positive, enthusiastic, creative, and a proactive problem solver

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of two internships or 1 year of experience in the world of media relations. Agency beauty/wellness experience preferred.
