POSITION OVERVIEW:

As Head of Growth at Cheeky Bonsai, you will play a critical role in unlocking the next stage of Cheeky Bonsai’s growth — working hand-in-hand with our CEO & COO to drive key decisions, strategy and execution across marketing, product, distribution, operations and more. You’ll take ownership of some of our most critical priorities across online and retail channels. We’re looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, hungry and versatile.

This is a full-time role. Strong preference for candidates based in the Bay Area.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Work directly with our co-founders to drive strategic priorities across all areas of the business, including but not limited to sales, operations, supply chain, customer service
  • Be the go-to strategic thought partner for Cheeky Bonsai leaders for key analyses and relevant external relations (e.g., fundraising, negotiating contract terms or evaluating prospective retail partnerships)
  • Comfortably lead multiple dynamic projects, with scopes ranging from long-term strategic initiatives to tactical day-to-day execution
  • Drive both strategic and tactical initiatives across the business with ownership of these strategic areas of the business:
  • Strategy & initiative execution
  • Research on new products
  • Drive key decisions and improvements to the business through data-driven insights, in areas like unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities
  • Launching growth hacking experiments to drive business development in new segments and develop industry and customer relationships that will propel our expansion
  • Growth marketing - ads, influencer marketing, etc.
  • Ongoing website optimization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years experience of strategy and/or operations for a growing DTC or CPG company OR a leading management consulting firm
  • Strong analytical skill set with experience in a role involving data analysis, strategic thinking, and financial modeling
  • Able to work both fast and right - you understand when things require precision and accuracy and when 80% gets you to the desired outcome
  • Proactive, hard-working and resourceful in pushing progress forward and meeting accelerated timelines
  • Highly organized + reliable, able to manage multiple projects at once across different areas of the business
  • Strategic, confident communicator both verbal and written
  • Strong collaborator, skilled at building trusting relationships, getting buy-in and advocating for Cheeky Bonsai’s needs and priorities
