Compensation: $3,000 to $5,000 Fixed Price

At Cove, we're on a mission to free our oceans of plastic and redefine an incredibly pollutive industry. Apparel manufacturing comprises 10% of global carbon emissions, but it doesn't need to! When combined with wasteful and excessive plastic packaging on the individual pieces, one poorly made garment can cause an awful lot of harm to our planet.

In order to spread our message rapidly, we use social media and an online storefront. Social Media is the first touch point for 90% of our customer acquisition, so we want to make sure we're doing a good job! The goal is to build an awareness of who we are, what we're about, and then guide them to eventually becoming a supporter of our movement.

Daily/Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Shooting and editing video and photo content for our social media channels (video edits, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, etc.)
  • Film yourself in the content and be one of the "faces" of our brand online
  • Collaborating with the Head of Marketing and marketing team members on content ideation
  • Have a consistent pulse on current trends and the direction of culture and media
  • Work closely with our strategy teams to ensure growth objectives are being met

Skills Needed:

  • 2-4 + years social content creation and ideation experience for a brand or influencer account(s). Must provide relevant prior examples of your work.
  • Must be comfortable in front of the camera
  • Experience filming and editing short form video content. A portfolio with social media content examples is expected.
  • Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented, and are able to independently move projects forward while working with an in-house creative team, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud.
