Meltwater is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our global marketing team.
We're seeking a creative, energetic, and experienced social media manager who understands that social media management isn’t just posting content, it's creating community. Sound like you?
The ideal candidate will have strong social copywriting skills, experience in the B2B SaaS marketing space, and an ability to iterate quickly based on data and quarterly targets. You will work closely with the content marketing manager to develop a robust social media and community management strategy, including but not limited to: influencer outreach, employee engagement initiatives, and our new YouTube channel. You’ll also spearhead our first presence on TikTok!
As the Social Media Manager, you'll join other talented content producers within our Marketing team to deliver engaging and thought-provoking social content that encourages clicks, conversation, and turns fans into followers.
What You’ll Do
- Write copy consistent with the Meltwater tone of voice for daily social media posts across all major channels
- Use the Meltwater tool to craft data-driven social posts on trending topics or themes
- Apply audience insights, personas, messaging and competitive information to inform content production
- Engage with online communities in the PR, Comms, Marketing, and Tech as an authority in the space
- Respond to comments and customer feedback in a timely and professional manner
- Stay on top of industry trends and news to keep our channels proactive and cutting edge
- Keep an eye on trending memes, hashtags, and upcoming social holidays to jump on when appropriate. Should we incorporate “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”? Wordle? Creative thinking encouraged!
- Contribute to MQL goals through identifying and submitting leads to our sales team
- Pull quarterly performance metrics to report to the content team and provide concrete suggestions based on the data
- Collaborate with external contributors/influencers to create credible content that resonates with our audience
- Partner with designers, developers, and other specialists within the team to drive the delivery of your content
What You Have
- ****3-5 years of similar experience
- Native English writing fluency
- Deep knowledge of all major social media platforms
- Excellent examples of social campaigns, backed by solid performance metrics
- Solid understanding of creating Boolean searches strongly preferred
- Experience with analyzing data to create a story
- Sharp eye and detail orientated— you proofread with vigor, catching typos and grammatical errors like Pokemon
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Passion for B2B marketing
- A basic understanding of paid social tactics preferred but not required
- Ability to work both independently and in collaborative environments
