This role is one of the first marketing team expansions this winter season, as we look towards building out the team.
Job Summary
The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for elevating the brand across multiple consumer touch points, especially within key social media areas. This person will be the team lead for all external social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc), as well as be an important part of the team driving brand and product awareness everywhere. Essentially, it’s a mash up of a Social Media Coordinator and Marketing Manager with ability to grow into the company as the brand grows.
Responsibilities
- Produce content and perform daily management and publishing of Aleck content on assigned social platforms using native platform tools or 3rd party applications.
- Manage the recruitment and relationships of Aleck Ambassadors across the globe using our Aspire IQ influencer platform, ensuring a human relationship is always present in interactions.
- Create original videos, repurpose influencer videos, stills and other content for distribution on assigned social platforms with necessary approvals.
- Leverage relevant social media trends, partner talents, and in-house content to keep a constant stream of entertaining, instructional and inspirational content.
- Analyze metrics and use an entrepreneurial mindset to grow the audience, impact, and engagement.
- Help manage campaign calendars and posting schedule.
- It’s a startup world, so additional marketing projects are always open for leaders, including campaigns, trade shows, consumer events, etc.
- Serve as a gatekeeper, keeping all the team’s efforts grounded in authenticity of the brand.
The Candidate:
- Four-year college degree with a creative focus preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience at a consumer facing brand in an interactive marketing or social media role
- Must be proactive, multifaceted, capable of working on concurrent complex projects and able to communicate effectively to internal team members, creators, vendors, and other partners
- Great editorial judgement. Ability to adopt and maintain brand voice. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing software and other creative tools a plus
- Avid user of social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and others with solid understanding of the current feature set of each platform with an eye on new product features
Bonus Points:
- Experience with influencer management software; like Aspire, Hootsuite, Grin, Impact, etc.
LOCATION: This position is Remote (US), but based in the Reno / Tahoe area
TRAVEL: Domestic and international travel likely up to 20% for to support brand events.
