In this role, under the direction of the Social Media Director, candidates will be responsible for building strategy, creating elevated social media content, including photo and video, and garnering ongoing engagement and following for a beauty/wellness brand in Houston. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of professional content creation experience and a demonstrated track record of developing strategic and integrated social media campaigns. **CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN HOUSTON**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage social media marketing campaigns and strategies that increase brand awareness, followers, and engagement for our clients
  • Ideate, shoot, edit, schedule and manage visual content creation with an established creative direction for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for all brand accounts
  • Plan relevant content topics to reach the company’s target audience segments
  • Create strong and compelling copy and visual content with strategic and intentional mentions/tags/hashtags
  • On a daily basis, collect user-generated content, monitor and build relevant followers, and seek out opportunities to create timely, relevant content, especially on Instagram and TikTok
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users
  • Working closely with the PR/programming/influencer teams to develop, ideate, and expand community/influencer outreach efforts
  • Oversee design of social media pages, collaborating with our full creative department
  • Manage promotions and social media boosts
  • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor and respond to online reviews
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics using social media analytic software (i.e. Hootsuite)
  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Directly communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, and partners, for all social media content, booking photoshoots, interviews, and more
  • Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Work closely with Integrated Marketing team to build strategies that are proven by testing and metrics
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional experience and understanding of best practices and strategies on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more.
  • Professional photography/videography skills required – comfortable using both professional equipment and iPhone
  • Experience in, or strong understanding of, any of the following areas: beauty, wellness, healthcare, high-fashion, designer/luxury brands.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years professional experience in the field of Public Relations, Marketing, Social Media, Photography
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt to a brand voice/tone
  • Hands-on experience strategically planning and managing social media accounts
  • Graphic design skills preferred
  • Familiarity with paid digital advertising preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal skills and ability to interact with clients
  • Reliable transportation as frequent visits to capture on-site content and event coverage is required
  • Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Lightroom, Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut, and other content creation and editing apps
