About This Role

Reporting to the VP, Global Social Media, Audible has a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in shaping the Audible brand globally, within the discipline of influencer marketing. This role will sit within in a newly created Global Social Media Center of Excellence (COE) team, and be responsible for providing critical thinking and thought leadership to lead the global strategy for influencers. Working closely with country social teams, this role will be critical in accelerating our influencer marketing practice across our 10 marketplaces globally. Leveraging and interpreting consumer insights, cultural trends and industry as well as local marketplace knowledge will be critical to success. You will be seen as a critical resource and counsel internationally and domestically in best practices for engaging with influencers to help tell the story of Audible to millions of consumers on social media.

About You

You have a strong and proven track record in how to drive brand conversation on social media via influencer and tastemaker communities, budget management, contract negotiations, briefs and building global influencer strategies and programs that ladder into overall business strategy. You are an expert at relationship building and influence: open, process-oriented, curious, and a champion for identifying brand-right relationships.

As a Director, Global Social Influencer Marketing, you will...

  • Develop scalable, cutting-edge global influencer strategy and guidelines for Audible to keep the brand at the apex of entertainment culture. Implement new thinking and creative approaches in connecting influencer marketing with consumers of premium audio storytelling.
  • Serve as the global liaison to communicate updates on social media influencer strategy and guide on influencer selection for various evergreen and ongoing campaign needs in partnership with our 10 existing and future marketplaces. Deliver global influencer guidelines, toolkits and ongoing support.
  • Create, input and review briefs and plans that a) drive positive conversation on Audible and our content at scale, b) ensure influencer activations deliver consistency in global messaging on social media and c) dissect consumer data to develop insightful influencer strategies that support paid, owned, earned and shared consumer touchpoints locally in global marketplaces.
  • Continue to refine the influencer selection and management process globally in support of long term relationships, seasonal collaborations and ad-hoc tactical executions.
  • Provide ongoing refreshes and updates to guidelines as needed throughout the year and in alignment with new social media channels inclusive across social media features/tactics (eg. Partnership best practices, audio content, influencer selection, etc.)
  • Work closely with cross functional partners (Paid Social, PR, Comms, Legal, Content Marketing, etc.) to ensure that influencer strategy is cohesive and integrated across the business.
  • Oversee management influencer database (internal and third party) and cultivate agency relationships.
  • Manage a newly established program of high-touch, “global” influencer relationships end-to-end, including communication, contracts, sample allocation and creative briefs creation and distribution.
  • Analyze and access data insights on global influencer performance to provide reporting and analysis for optimization of the overall influencer strategy.
  • Constantly on the pulse of influencer marketing trends, specifically within the entertainment and streaming sphere.
  • Share insights and best practices across markets and regions.
  • Develop strong relationship with social platforms to understand creator tools and how creators and influencers are tailored per social network.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of demonstrated excellence in managing global influencer strategy.
  • Have demonstrated success in the influencer marketing space, supported by data and results.
  • Experience working with global, large, consumer-facing brands.
  • Experience leading project workstreams with global marketplaces.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build, speak and grow relationships with change agents and cultural makers in the influencer space directly or via agents.
  • Be a driver of culture and understand conversation-driving trends: must have a true passion and understanding of the entertainment and social media community.
  • Have high cultural competency and understand the role of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) in the build of influencer marketing strategies globally.
  • Knowledge and confidence in understanding and managing the intersection and relationship between global and regional influencer marketing processes.
  • Project management experience with proven record of success in optimization of efficiency.
  • Data-driven mindset to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in entertainment marketing.
  • Leadership experience; experience working within global organizations.
  • Proven record of success in driving improvements in social media marketing demonstrated through specific results grounded in strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated creativity, with effective communication skills to bring problem-solving and ideas to a broad audience.
  • Experience with quick-turn/rapid-response communications.
  • Experience collaborating within dynamic and matrixed organizations.
