About the role
Santa is looking for a VP of Marketing to lead and own our growth marketing efforts, including customer acquisition, adoption, engagement, and retention, and to guide and bring our brand to life to excite our customers and future customers. We serve US customers in specific suburban and small-city communities and strive to become part of the fabric of the local communities we operate in. We hence have very local and field-oriented marketing activities alongside brand and performance-based activities.
Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, creative innovator and storyteller with an ability to create holistic customer acquisition strategies across multiple channels and execute them. This person is also a data-driven marketer who is comfortable working with evidence-based information to help direct, adjust and set priorities for the creative process. They should have a track record of B2C growth marketing execution and leadership in a tech startup environment targeting the US market, preferably to a non-technical audience, preferably with strong local field marketing experience.

You will:
- Drive acquisition and growth across all digital channels, and support exploration of partnership opportunities in the field.
- Lead field marketing across all markets, ideating and launching creative programs to drive local awareness and adoption, with local field marketers dual-reporting to you (and to the local GMs).
- Lead marketing efforts to boost brand awareness and ensure our brand messaging is strong and consistent across all channels and efforts (including events, social media, email campaigns, and other promotional materials).
- Lead customer and market insight research and leverage a deep understanding of our audience and brand positioning.
- Lead Santa’s relationships with external marketing partners (PR, communications, copy editing, influencer management, etc.).
- Collaborate with other teams to develop a successful marketing campaign that targets the right audience and employs the right creative
- Be hands-on and execution-oriented, doing whatever’s needed to get the job done.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in marketing roles at high-growth consumer startups targeting US customers, and at least 3 years in senior managerial/leadership positions.
- Deep knowledge of different marketing channels and effective methods for driving business growth and brand metrics.
- Team player with a proven track record of excellent project management, including managing roles and responsibilities, building consensus amongst cross-functional stakeholders, timeline tracking, overseeing budgets, execution, and measurement.
- Experienced in an early-stage startup environment with constant dynamic changes
- Numbers-oriented with analytical skills and a results-driven mindset
- Obsession with creating world-class customer experiences
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
- Strong visual and verbal presentation skills
- Experience with customer acquisition and growth in small cities and suburb markets - an advantage
