Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator, Lip & Baby Bum will be a key member of the Marketing team, partnering with the Brand Manager (Sun) and the Director (Sun, Lip, and Baby Bum) to lead the strategy, development, and execution of disruptive marketing programs for Sun Bum. This role is responsible for Lip & Baby Bum Pillar's annual brand planning, product strategy and innovation, campaign & partnerships, customer marketing planning with the Shopper Marketing lead, and delivering overall business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Brand Execution: Act with urgency, scrappiness, and unwavering commitment/tenacity to drive momentum for and around the brand. Bring a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude each day and be a positive source of energy for the Brand – driving to action and results. Support Marketing leadership on key brand and consumer initiatives, enrolling cross-functional partners to execute meaningful programs and product launches that drive high growth for the brand.
- Cross-functional leadership: Collaborate with sales, ops, finance, creative, and development teams to ensure execution of key programs and deliverables and consistency with brand strategic guidelines.
- Innovation: Partner with the Product Development team on identifying portfolio gaps and high-growth pipeline ideation opportunities and the validation and execution of projects while also maintaining/updating existing products within the Lip and Baby Bum portfolio.
- Analytics: Support Marketing leadership with ongoing analysis and presentation of business performance assessments. Help analyze brand volume distribution/pricing trends on a local market and national level. Also, provide the ongoing competitive analysis (to keep a pulse on the competitive landscape).
- Consumer Insights: Gather insights through quantitative and qualitative data sources, using both formal and informal/scrappy approaches. Translate data into actionable insights that optimize marketing.
- Strategy: Support Marketing leadership in developing the marketing strategy of Lip and Baby Bum, utilizing consumer insights and analytics.
- Brand Advocate: Act as a champion for the brand, regularly presenting brand positioning, programming, and performance success stories across internal and external audiences.
Skills / Qualification / Education
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in brand management roles within consumer-packaged goods. Experience and passion for the Personal Care industry preferred.
- Experience with both large and small companies is a plus. International experience is also a plus.
- Creative thinker with the ability to track trends and develop or seek out innovative ideas.
- A Bachelor of Science/Arts degree.
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including leadership, communication, and teamwork
- Track record of working effectively with cross-functional team members – Product Development, Sales, Operations, and Finance
- Experience working across the spectrum of media platforms, with an emphasis on social media, content, and influencer marketing
- Strong analytical acumen, with robust knowledge and track record of translating Nielsen/IRI consumption data into actionable insights and plans
- Ability to be entrepreneurial and methodical
- Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
