We’re looking for a community manager who is ready to shine on TikTok. This is more of a hybrid role: someone who wants to both engage and grow a community AND create content. They will be tasked with identifying platform trends, pitching concepts, creating TikTok and posting them. It’s a dream position for someone who lives and breathes TikTok and is ready to take a new brand on the platform to the next level!

We are looking for an eager, passionate and strategic thinker to join as our newest Community Manager. The Community Manager will play an important role as a social media specialist and community advocate on an integrated marketing team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about brands - someone who eats, breathes and loves culture - someone who is always on the hunt for the most entertaining and progressive ways the two interact on digital and social platforms. Specifically, we are looking for a Community Manager who themselves is a creator on social platforms, especially on Tik Tok. Our Community Managers are communication leaders who can step in, take responsibility, and very quickly understand the brand they work for, what matters most to its business, and begin contributing from day one on their assigned social platform.

What You Do:

  • Create, concept and present social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of editorial calendars for a brand.
  • Manage all social content through cycle - from brief to scheduling to publishing.
  • Monitor all community activity to keep a pulse on overall interests and sentiment.
  • Be the go-to expert for any and all things community for the cross-functional team you work with.
  • Partner with analytics for all performance reporting to provide context and insight to performance reports against pre-defined KPIs.
  • Be the go-to expert for all things social media (platforms, etc) and social influencer.
  • Prepare presentations and be comfortable presenting to clients, agency partners and internal team members.

Who You Are:

  • TikTok Expert. You are a creator on TikTok. You are an early adopter of the platform, have made your own content and understand and follow the best TikTok creators and influencers.
  • Social Media Savvy. You are active on every social platform. You can explain how each platform is different from each other. You think about things in cleverly short social-post statements and hashtags.
  • Strategic. You think before you do and love a good plan that is well considered. You are always curious to understand the why behind human behavior. And you see your role as a Community Manager as a gateway to a career as a strategists.
  • Opinionated. You have an opinion on which brands are killing it with their social media efforts and who is failing and can articulate why.
  • Creative. You know how to tell a story with personality in a limited number of characters and a key visual. You have excellent writing skills and have even dabbled in photo and video editing to get to the right post.
  • Observant. You never miss a beat on anything that goes on around you. You have always had a knack for reading people and understanding the context of situations.
  • Self-Motivated. You are confident and never shy away from a challenge. You work well with teams and direction, but know how to adapt and figure out how to solve problems on your own as well.
  • Music and Audio nerd. You are in-the-know on all music and audio trends. You use all of the above traits to amplify your knowledge in this space and find interesting ways to bring it to clients.

What You Need:

  • Four-year degree in marketing, journalism or communication or similar
  • Experience interning for a digital marketing agency
  • An independent work ethic and drive and know when to escalate to higher ups
  • Strong organizational, communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Copywriting experience strongly preferred
