Reporting to the VP, People and Culture, the Director, Employee Experience and Engagement will play an integral role in the evolution and scale of our people strategy as we continue to drive a culture of engagement and create exceptional employee experiences for all Builters.

The Director of Employee Experience and Engagement will be responsible for shaping key elements of our People strategy through the creation and implementation of strategic talent programs, and promoting a culture that embodies our values and guiding principles. This role will be responsible for thinking through the end to end experience of employees and ensuring our people programs recognize, reward, promote, and enable all talent to thrive, with a focus on the following areas: performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, internal and external communications, DEIB, and organizational culture.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement core talent practices working closely with business leaders and HR partners that are aligned to the Built's People Strategy and employee value proposition (EVP). This includes performance management, succession planning, talent development and recognition programs, and employee engagement
  • Partner on the evolution and actualization of our DEIB strategy with a focus on translating strategy into thoughtful and measurable objectives and cultivating our ERG leadership team
  • Drive deep employee engagement via thoughtful communications, cultural cultivation, brand development, and community programming
  • Evolve our approach to understanding employee sentiment improving employee experience through surveys, data reporting, recommendations, and action implementation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by creating a culture where ongoing feedback is encouraged and embraced
  • Analyze and interpret data to uncover insights to help understand employee engagement, understand the health of employee culture, and uncover opportunities for improvement of employee experience
  • Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote DEIB in talent attraction, development, and retention
  • Assist in creating and promoting a culture of engagement, inclusive leadership, commitment, and accountability, leveraging best practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in human resources, talent development, organizational development, or a related field
  • Experience implementing talent development, performance management, succession planning, and engagement programs for a diverse employee population
  • Demonstrate values-driven leadership and build an inclusive and empowering team culture
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and ability to foster and maintain relationships with professionals at all levels within the organization
  • Strong critical thinking skills - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Possesses complex problem-solving skills – identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Proven influencer - demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both employees and executive-level management
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple complex projects
