Job Description

We are looking for a Content Creator with specialization in social for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn. This person – through both strategic briefs and independent ideation -- will generate fresh social-first content ideas that leverage audience insights by platform and answer key business needs. They will focus on promoting the ServiceNow brand by appealing to platform audiences through engaging material that capitalizes on timely trends, formats and themes in order to drive strong reach and engagement.

This person should have experience in storytelling through content and be proficient in scriptwriting. This person would partner with another content creator for filming and editing content for both in-platform for spaces like TikTok and Instagram, as well as off-platform for less feature-heavy platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn, and be familiar with the optimal formatting requirements for all, especially as it relates to copy, captions and text overlays. They should feel comfortable working with and directing talent – both internal ServiceNow employees and external partners – and feel confident in giving creative direction and professional feedback.

Content types include video and static imagery and this person will have a clear understanding of the ServiceNow brand identity and tone of voice so that content reflects that as much as possible. This role will also occasionally help edit existing content for social, mainly by assessing transcripts and footage for social-friendly sound bites and content.

The ideal candidate will be able to thoughtfully collaborate with the broader social media team to develop original, effective ideas and execute those ideas efficiently. They should be a self-starter who can work nimbly within a fast-moving organization with a variety of ongoing creative needs, while also being able to prioritize projects and meet deadlines. They should be willing to push the envelope by proactively identifying fresh innovative ways to achieve the brand’s marketing and business objectives through creative storytelling in social.

This role is a content creator in the truest form – we’re looking for a “maker”, someone who is genuinely passionate about social and can work nimbly and independently to

concept and create content for social. We love saying “yes” to fun ideas and there’s so much room for those types of ideas at ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Concept and create social-first content to support multiple streams of marketing efforts including, but not limited to, brand storytelling, customer storytelling, and employee storytelling.
  • Collaborate closely with social media team on new ideas or creative needs and be receptive to feedback.
  • Drive creation of content from ideation to production across our platforms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each platform’s capabilities, features, user behavior, and trends.
  • Understands the vernacular of social, and nuances by platform, and capitalizes on those in content development.
  • Occasionally copyedit “social-first” content from existing longer form videos filmed elsewhere in the company.
  • Be eager and willing to travel to varying locations for content capture and feel comfortable managing the process, interviewing and prompting talent as needed, and representing the company and brand in those locations with limited oversight.
  • Have a consistent pulse on the social media landscape and what’s new and trending and bring content ideas to the table to align with those findings.
  • Steward the brand identity through a consistent but fresh tone of voice, and genuinely “gets” the type of tonality and lingo required for good social media content.
  • Present concepts and ideas to senior leadership to gain alignment and approvals as needed.
  • Thoughtfully manage multiple ongoing projects with varying urgency.

  • And of course, genuinely LOVES social media.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of social content creation experience with a proven track record of high performing creative.
  • Highly skilled in storytelling and editing for social within and for individual platforms and understands the nuances of high-performing copywriting and captioning for those platforms.
  • An eye for industry and creative trends along with current social best practices and channel capabilities.
  • Experience with content development for B2B brands is appreciated; agility in hypergrowth environments necessary.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work with all levels of management and internal stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Creative Portfolio School Certificate or related degree.
