Overview

The Talent and Influencer Partnership Manager will work to advance the mission of Action for the Climate Emergency (ACE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to educating and activating millions of young people to end the era of fossil fuels, accelerate the deployment of renewable energy, and ultimately avoid the worst impacts of the climate emergency.

This is a full-time, remote position based anywhere in the United States. The Talent and Influencer Partnership Manager will work from a home office and will participate in regular in-person events, field-based work, and internal and external meetings. The Talent and Influencer Partnership Manager will also meet regularly by video chat with ACE team members, partners, vendors, young people and funders. The Talent and Influencer Partnership Manager must be available for regular travel within the United States.

ACE programs currently reach tens of millions of young people each year, and work together to educate every young person about the climate emergency, train the next generation of climate and democracy leaders, amplify youth voices to shift the public narrative, and increase diverse youth participation in our democracy.

Job Summary

Talent and Influencer Partnership Manager will be responsible for executing talent and lifestyle influencer partnerships that advance ACE’s climate education work, drive broad awareness on social media, ensure large scale narrative shift and social consent toward a rapid energy transition away from fossil fuels. This position will work closely with the social media and paid advertising team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in talent relations, publicity or influencer marketing campaigns, an in-depth knowledge of the talent and influencer marketing ecosystem, a positive outlook, exemplary organizational and communication skills, a good understanding of the geopolitics of energy, misinformation, and climate policies.

In this position, the Talent & Influencer Partnership Manager will work to strengthen ACE’s role and impact in advocating for an end to the era of fossil fuels, a swift and equitable transition to renewable energy, and an increase in diverse youth participation in our democracy.

Major Functions

  • Execute talent and influencer partnership campaigns with individuals whose brands and audiences align with ACE’s campaign goals across existing and emerging social media platforms.
  • Manage campaigns and projects from ideation to execution, coordinating creative approvals, asset delivery and feedback across stakeholders and ensuring projects are completed by established deadlines.
  • Manage and update external and internal tracking databases for campaigns and partnerships.
  • Serve as primary liaison for select talent and influencer partners, supporting overall relationship management and managing partner requests around campaign planning, implementation and post-launch reporting.
  • Create presentations and stakeholder updates that effectively communicate campaign status and performance across internal teams and funders.
  • Brainstorm opportunities to enhance how we collaborate with talent and influencer partners to ensure we’re maximizing reach and value-add opportunities that engage partners’ followers and fanbases.
  • Create postmortem campaign reports to ensure the team is optimizing performance based on learnings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influencer support: Identify and conduct outreach to influencers and talent for long term partnership opportunities. Vet, edit and provide quality feedback on video content from influencers.
  • Building processes and systems: Manage and improve our highly scalable online system that guides creators from sign up, through content creation, and finally to payment.
  • Influencer community management: Build a strong community of influencers by managing outbound and inbound emails, text messages and other communications to our network of creators to motivate them to generate more content.
  • Campaign strategy: Take ownership of digital outreach for some of our specific marketing campaign verticals including ideation.
  • Stay updated: Keep on top of trends and hashtags within the short-form video ecosystems like TikTok, Reels or Triller.
  • Influencer support: Vet, edit and provide quality feedback on video content from influencers, and also provide infrastructure that supports creators with video assets. Act as the liaison between the ACE Marketing and Communications Team and influencers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years entertainment experience across talent relations, talent partnerships and influencer marketing.
  • Experience working on a range of activations including creative content, events and business partnerships.
  • Excellent judgment and partner management when working with talent, influencers and internal stakeholders as well as strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of influencer marketing including trends in the evolving business environment and the data and social metrics needed to demonstrate campaign success.
  • Track record of consistently measuring important metrics and KPIs against broader business objectives; Understands how to leverage data to uncover new opportunities and insights.
  • Strong time management skills, organization skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to switch between creative projects and analytical/strategic projects with ease.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and creativity.
  • Awareness of the issues of concern to young people, including climate change and climate justice, and a passion for empowering youth to take action.
  • Experience working with Influencer management tools like Upfluence, Tiktok Creator Marketplace or Sprinklr

  • Existing expertise or willingness to master trends in climate education, geo-politics, energy transition and social media misinformation

POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Full-time

Annual salary range: $75,000- $80,000, commensurate with experience
