Director of Media Strategy -

The Director of Media Strategy will focus on managing Omni-Channel Digital Media planning and tactical buying/execution, with a focus on digital thought leadership in the paid social and paid search areas of subject matter expertise. Programmatic knowledge is a plus.

They will leverage their extensive industry knowledge and work with the team to create, manage, and optimize campaigns. Additionally, they will represent the media team in agency leadership conversations including product development, marketing communication and business development initiatives. They are enthusiastic, proactive, detail-oriented, and they thrive in a team-oriented, client-focused, fast-paced environment.

Must haves include hands-on experience activating paid social, paid search and programmatic campaigns within various DSP tools, and a minimum of 7 years of relevant digital planning and buying experience. Must also have a proven track record of building strong working relationships with internal teams as well as external partners (clients, vendors etc.) with at least two years of experience managing a team.

·Manage and activate paid social and paid search campaigns across Google Ad Suite, Bing, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, Twitch, Next Door

·Oversee day-to-day campaign execution and is responsible for ensuring campaigns deliver on KPIs

·Support development of strategic approach for omni channel planning and buying

·Lead omni-channel media planning and buying initiatives including audience and platform recommendations, campaign stewardship and reporting across digital channels including: social, programmatic, display, online and display etc.

·Acts as channel expert for the business, with a heavy focus on thought leadership and relationship building in the digital media community

·Analyze data to inform future planning and buying activities with an "agile" mindset

·Develop guidelines and process for programmatic, paid social, display and video execution and reporting

·Act as the client champion and agency representative to vet and evaluate third party technology and vendors

·Develop tools to facilitate on-target budget fulfillment to support meeting revenue goals

·Lead cross-sell efforts among existing agency roster to further display and social product adoption

·Manage and mentor junior level planners and buyers

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, applied mathematics, consumer insights or related field preferred

· 7 years of experience activating paid search, programmatic and paid social campaigns

· 3+ years of directly related experience in digital investment across multiple digital channels

· Influencer marketing experience is a plus

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to detect and translate a story behind numbers/data

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet inspirational /creative style

· Willingness to learn and create solutions that challenge the status quo

· Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutions

· Negotiation and influence skills – steeped in required industry, brand, and competitive knowledge

· A proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines

· Strong process development skills

· An intrinsic passion for new technology/digital gadgets; and utilization of social media tools to engage and inspire new solutions for clients

· Proven ability to mentor and lead junior team members

· Strong consulting experiences. Able to quickly evaluate complex client issues and demonstrate experiences in solving client’s business challenges with analytic solutions

· Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence senior decision-makers within agencies and clients

· Manage the team with excellence in a high-growth and fast-paced environment. Able to recruit, develop and retain the best talent in the marketplace and motivate teams in a matrixed environment

· Entrepreneurial and visionary thinking
