The Maria Tash brand is based in New York with worldwide headquarters and its flagship store that opened in 2004. It was not until 2016 that the Tash expanded internationally with the opening of a shop at Liberty of London. Following this, the brand has continued to open piercing and jewelry destinations in Dublin (Brown Thomas), Liberty (London), Harrods of London and most recently the world’s very first piercing destination in the Middle East at the Dubai Mall, Mall of Emirates and Kuwait. With a cult following of celebrities including Rihanna, Zoe Kravitz, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron to name just a few, the brand is the leading destination for influencers, industry insiders and tastemakers around the world.

How You’ll Impact
The Social Media Director will be passionate about all things communication, strategy, and digital innovation. Your overall goal will be to assisting in elevating the brand through digital mediums and engagement, be on the cutting edge, and lead with an entrepreneurial yet collaborative mindset. Reporting into the Senior Vice President of Marketing and PR, you will be overseeing a coordinator and partnering with a dedicated graphic designer.
What You’ll Do
- Own the strategy and management of social media content calendar for all existing platforms
- Manage smooth operations of a team including a social media coordinator, ensuring timely completion of projects, smooth and effective community management, and quality assurance of posting
- Conceptualize and lead the execution of high performing social content
- Obsessively grow the community and engagement through platform-specific initiatives
- Deliver creative ideas to drive key business priorities and sales while maintaining brand DNA
- Oversee regular, comprehensive reporting that will inform future social decisions
- Build a meaningful plan for moving into emerging channels
- Work in partnership with the PR and VIP teams to facilitate valuable partnerships, collaborations and influencer relationships
- Act as a social media advocate throughout the company, ensuring social is incorporated into business initiatives
- Build strong relationships with store teams to generate geographic specific content
- Synthesize social listening data to better understand customer wants and needs globally
- Partner with the e-commerce team to ensure alignment between paid and organic efforts
- Set and manage budget tracking for all social media efforts
- Stay on top of social media trends and determine how to translate onto our channels
Who You Are
- 5-7 years working in social media across all platforms for a retail brand a must
- A deep understanding of full 360 degrees marketing function with proven ability to translate into social initiatives
- Willing to roll up sleeves in all aspects of social
- Proficiency in driving sales from unique content
- Expertise in evolving brand presence in new social platforms
- Proven track record that demonstrates planning, follow through and follower growth
- Passion for design and fashion/beauty
- Enjoys working on a diverse team with a varied set of responsibilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Eager to learn, have a positive attitude, are receptive to feedback
