Job Description
The Manager of Public Relations and Influencer Management will lead all day-to-day execution for consumer-facing public relations and influencer management and will manage consumer and PR events and philanthropic initiatives. This person will report to the Sr Director of Public Relations and social media and will be the lead contact on a daily basis for consumer-facing PR initiatives.
This role will be the day-to-day lead for holistic brand PR and digital-first influencer and product seeding strategy, integrating communications tactics across all consumer touchpoints. As part of the growing team that propels brand energy and reputation management, home décor and furnishings leadership, and cultural inspiration, you will continue to position At Home as a brand that affordably enables everyone to make their house a home.
With the goal to facilitate key strategic business objectives, concepts and initiatives, this role will engage with an evolving network of influential audiences with the sole mission of creating consumer-facing PR to seed content with digital influencers that drive brand love for At Home.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated PR, influencer marketing, and product seeding tactics to support our brand purpose and product stories to drive brand affinity, fuel consumer demand, and strengthen our connection with consumers.
- Create multi-channel PR and influencer strategies for seasonal and always-on campaigns by engineering dynamic consumer journey tactics and leveraging media opportunities that generate relevant and brand-right content across consumer press, social, experiential, product innovation and philanthropic programming.
- Guides all philanthropic partnerships on both strategy and execution of Giving campaigns and develops plan for gaining “credit” for At Home for the work we do with outside philanthropic partners.
- Monitor social media trends alongside agency, including developments in design, applications, strategy and innovation to stay relevant and effective.
- Guides store teams and internal content teams through execution of Influencer and Customer events in-store and out-of-store, building an “Event Playbook” for leverage
- Leads and develops outside relationships with Influencers, seeding At Home product and guiding influencers through campaign management to achieve desired business outcomes for At Home
- Works with internal merchandising teams and Marketing Strategy team to source and develop product and trend stories for PR pitching
Qualifications And Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of consumer-facing public relations experience
- 2+ years of working with influencers, preferably in the home décor space
- 2+ years of strategic social media experience across a variety of channels preferred
- Public Relations agency experience preferred
- Retail industry experience preferred
- Strong project management and communication skills; detail oriented with a high degree of organization and accuracy
- Self-starter, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Has unique ability to think bigger than budgets sometimes allow and think outside of our current “box”
- Energetic and collaborative team player
- Ability to thrive in a flexible environment with a positive attitude
