Senior Director of Product, Content Experience - Lonely Planet

This position will report to our Senior Marketing Manager and will support the North America wholesale team.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and execute all aspects of Marketing for North America wholesale customers, including Sephora US & Canada
Operational Marketing:
- Maintain client relationships and support preparation retailer meetings by:
- o Planning (meeting preparation, scheduling, agenda)
- o Building necessary materials (presentations)
- o Executing (actionable meeting notes, follow-up on next steps)
- Own and manage retailer timelines and deliverables:
- o New product forms, pricing set up and changes, samples, logistic information
- o To ensure excellent retail partner and consumer facing execution: digital assets organization and sharing, copy and translations, education materials
- Support in defining sampling opportunities, manage forecast and tracking.
- Serve as a key point of contact when delivering product pages, copy, GWPs, promotions, sampling, category & brand features etc.
- Build Product training materials with the guidance of Trade Marketing Manager and Product Innovation Team
- Track and consolidate annual marketing plans for retailer-specific activations both in-store and online
- Assist in Retailer Meeting prep including presentation materials, market samples, product samples, shipments, meeting set up
- Manage product sample process: ordering, budgeting, tracking and shipments
- Events material prep and shipment tracking
Consumer Marketing:
- Support the collaboration with the Global Marketing team to translate global and regional brand plans into local and channel specific activations (retail.com, in-store, social media, influencers, education)
- Assist in analysis of marketplace, product, retailer and media/marketing effort performance. With guidance, create spreadsheets and charts to highlight opportunities with consumers, channels, products and marketing.
- Brief in retailer-specific creative needs (ie: asset resizing, site assets, social, etc…)
- Participate on the collaboration of 360 campaigns including paid media, digital, influencer and events
- Monitor brand digital presence and product/campaign execution on retailer.com and social media
- Monitor competitor activities and draw out learnings and recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant degree from a 4-year college (preferably with a major in Business, Management or Marketing)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in Marketing, preferably in retail/cosmetics/luxury goods.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills and strong Microsoft Powerpoint skills preferred (or an alternate spreadsheet and presentation software) or a very strong interest in gaining proficiency through training and self practice.
- Sephora experience a plus
- Rigor, autonomy, organization, adaptability, and proactivity are essentials for the job.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Knowledge and affinity with retail and ecommerce marketing
- Interest in the beauty industry is preferred
