Job Description
How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Growth Marketing Manager, you are responsible for acquiring new customers and generating sales through the power of influencers, direct mail and other paid channels. You will support planning, execution, measurement and optimization of our marketing campaigns that inspire more people to think secondhand first. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to share insights that help us elevate and align our brand and marketing strategies to drive continuous growth at scale.
Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a balance of creative and analytical skill sets. You are results-oriented and focused on impact within the marketing organization and the overall business. You should be comfortable analyzing data and drawing insights that you can easily communicate to stakeholders and executives. You can also collaborate with brand and creative teams to find new ways to communicate key value props and align external partners with our messaging.
This role is part of the Revenue team and will report to the Sr. Manager of Growth Marketing. This role is based at thredUP’s headquarters in Oakland, CA.
In This Role You Will:
- Manage channel-level budgets and monthly strategies for some of our tried and true growth marketing channels like influencers and direct mail
- Analyze and measure campaign performance and make optimization recommendations based on data
- Own communication for channels you oversee, own reporting and communication to broader team and surface insights to cross-functional partners
- Lead negotiations and contract creation with external partners and vendors
- Be curious and use data, experience, and qualitative learnings to drive programs forward and improve performance
- Keep up with platform and industry news and share learnings that align with business goals with the revenue team
- Drive continuous process improvements that allow the team and channels to scale and find efficiencies
- Be a leader on the growth marketing team, working alongside other channel managers to find new ways to partner, measure, and yield results that align with overall brand and revenue objectives
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-5 years of professional experience on a growth marketing team.
- 2-3 years of experience in Influencer and/or Direct Mail marketing a plus.
- Strong leadership skills, is able to take on projects and tasks and add value beyond the status quo.
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive, self starter, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Consistently speaks up in meetings or when something isn’t working and surfaces solutions to support improvements to processes or performance.
- Seeks out opportunities to learn new things and tackle challenges, surfacing learnings and insights to the growth marketing team and to cross functional partners.
- Influences outcomes and focuses on output and impact.
At thredUP, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $110,000 and $120,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Many thredUP employees also have the opportunity to own shares of thredUP stock. thredUP employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing thredUP stock if voluntarily participating in thredUP’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
