Responsibilities
We are looking for a driven Media Specialist to join our team! The Media Specialist will be part of a team that consistently seeks out new and innovative media partner solutions to propel the brand forward. The Media Specialist will work closely with others in the Marketing team to create national campaigns across the funnel. The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder who has a deep passion for the media industry. This role is a key player within the organization to drive our campaigns, but is also externally facing to our media partners.
- Responsible for the development of innovative media plans and tactics within the highly competitive insurance category
- Works cross functionally with Creative, Strategy and Measurement teams in the creation of go-to-market plans leveraging Video, Digital, Social, Influencer and more
- Is constantly monitoring the media landscape and is excited to test new opportunities to drive the brand forward
- Develops direct relationships with media partners and serves as the key point of contact for our joint business partners
- Deep understanding of Awareness & Consideration driving media
- Thinks critically about media proposals and has the ability to align media plans to campaign strategies
- Active participant in upfront media planning
- Has the ability to bring go-to-market ideas from outside media partners in to the internal working teams
- Understands media marketplace trends and how to capitalize on them
- Aids in the completion of media integrations, co-brands, and media sponsorships
- Drives media negotiations directly or via marketing agencies
- Briefs media agencies on campaign goals, objectives and media parameters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of work experience in media planning/strategy/execution
- Network, agency, media publisher or large brand experience preferred
- Experience leveraging media measurement tools/software
- Strong written, presentation and analytical skills preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Ability to work collaboratively with a group to develop integrated campaigns
