The majority of our sales are online and we serve various types of customers from event planners and event rental companies to brides/grooms to be and individuals shopping for party supplies. The Role
The Director, Social Media & Content is a critical new role overseeing the growth strategy across organic social media channels and building the CV Linens brand personality through content. You will be responsible for developing and executing a plan to grow brand awareness and new customer acquisition to achieve revenue growth targets. You will manage a team of social specialists and content creators. You are highly strategic, creative and a self-starter. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge in social media marketing and direct-to-consumer ecommerce. Reporting to the CMO, the Director, of Social Media & Content will play a key role in advancing our digital marketing strategy and execution.
What You’ll Do
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute a holistic social media and content strategy across all platforms, with a goal of increasing brand awareness and driving new customer acquisition. Identify emerging trends, platforms, and technologies to ensure CV Linens remains at the forefront of digital marketing.
- Content Creation and Management: Manage all content and creative development for organic, owned and paid media channels, including video, display, email, social, influencer collaborations, website, mobile and affiliate.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow CV Linens’ presence on key social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. Monitor social media trends and engagement metrics, adjusting strategies accordingly to maximize reach and impact.
- Campaign Management: Own campaign planning and execution. Partner with the broader marketing team to develop a campaign calendar focused on key events, holidays and trends within the event planning industry. Execute cohesive campaigns across organic social channels.
- Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community and engagement by interacting with the audience, responding to comments and messages, and driving conversations around the CV Linens brand.
- Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the performance of social media and content marketing initiatives. Provide regular reports to the leadership team, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending adjustments to optimize results.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with the broader marketing team to ensure integrated and cohesive campaigns. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of social media specialists and content creators, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Always strive to beat benchmarks, pushing CV Linens to new heights. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8-12 years of experience in developing and executing social media and content strategies across multiple platforms, with a proven track record of growing reach, engagement and driving new customers.
- Experience working in the direct-to-consumer e-commerce industry.
- 4+ years of experience leading, coaching and managing a team.
- Experience overseeing the creation of content for multiple platforms.
- Proven track record of creating engaging content for Reels, Stories, YouTube Shorts and TikTok.
- Expertise in platform-specific tools, features, formats, standards, user behaviors, and best practices with an understanding of how to apply them to achieving performance goals.
- Results oriented with a proven track record of setting and hitting KPIs.
- Expert knowledge of social media management tools.
- Skilled in use of design tools such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
