Purpose
~ The position is responsible for brand strategy and advertising through broadcast, OLM, social media, and experiential channels. It is a key role on the marketing team that quarterbacks all campaigns and efforts, rooting them in the brand North Star, and developing and communicating the strategy that aligns all channels to develop a 360-degree marketing approach.
Major Responsibilities
~ Develops, manages, and connects the business growth objectives and sales goals to the brand and creative needs to align with US Genesis brand positioning.
~ Continually evaluates strategies and adjusts tactics to best meet changing market and competitive conditions.
~ Oversees and directs all General Market and Multicultural national advertising efforts via GMA and agency management in all related areas such as creative strategy and development.
~ Oversees and directs Social Media marketing efforts, including overall strategy, by channel optimization, influencer strategy and social monitoring.
~ Oversees and directs the strategy and development of experiential programs and activities, including National Sponsorships like the Genesis Invitational PGA Tournament, Promotions, Experience Centers, National and Regional Auto shows, National Dealer meetings, NADA, Owner Events, and other Marketing Events Programs.
~ Uses advanced knowledge and provides marketing advice and guidance to various operating units to ensure overall marketing effectiveness.
~ Oversees and directs the utilization and ongoing management of related advertising production and experiential budgets.
~ Collaborates with Market Research team on all Genesis Brand consumer research.
~ Interfaces and coordinate with Genesis Global HQ in the areas of Marketing Communications, global events, agency management, and brand strategy.
~ Effectively coach, counsel, and develop team members. Utilize the diverse talents of the team by efficiently managing time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.

Authority
~ Team direction, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
~ Signature authority on PRs, POs based on Finance matrix.
~ Budget management.
~ RFP and vendor selection.
~ Signature authority on expense reports and time-off reports for direct reports.
~ Conduct hiring interviews, make hiring recommendations, extend approved hiring offers.
Education
~ Bachelor’s degree required.
~ Master’s degree a plus
Related Experience
~ Ten or more years of relevant experience.
~ Five years of managerial level experience.
~ Five or more years of marketing experience.
~ Five to seven years of automotive related experience.
~ Agency and/or vendor experience helpful.
Skills/Knowledge
~ Excellent understanding of marketing strategy and advertising campaign process.
~ Good organizational and team leadership skills.
~ Ability to manage multiple projects and numerous vendors in a fast paced and multi-cultural environment.
~ Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at a variety of corporate levels.
~ Effective communication skills.
~ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
~ Strong automotive industry knowledge.
~ Familiarity with basic budget and accounting functions.
