Douyin E-Commerce Global Team has seen rapid growth in recent years and has become one of the major B2C platform players in the China market. The team takes responsibility for supporting global partners, including brands, resellers and KOLs etc. to extend and grow their business in China. Creators and KOLs are integral to the ecosystem where brands and products are brought to the consumers through story-telling and personal engagement. We are looking for a Creator Acquisition and Partnership Manager to join our recently formed Douyin E-Commerce Global team in the US. The role's main objective is to acquire and cultivate creators in a scaleable way to create E-Commerce and livestreaming content on Douyin. It will require daily interaction with local creators and also knowledge of trending products in China and the U.S.. This role is for a passionate content and creator advocate within Douyin E-Commerce Global team, with proven business development capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving creator growth.

The person in this position must be an effective contributor and communicator in working with KOLs and brand partners, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Grow a stable supply of live shopping content creators by sourcing, acquiring, and onboarding high potential creator talent to the Douyin E-Commerce ecosystem
  • Identify room for improvement in tooling, SOPs and support for creators for growth
  • Provide ongoing support and training to creators to improve performance, and study key attributes of successful creator cases
  • Ensure and secure resources for creator growth and development in collaboration with platform marketing team
  • Enhance the communication between brands and creators to foster on-going collaborations and support special marketing events
  • Understand category trends and hot selling products to engage creators with relevant brands to generate incremental revenue
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting high target
  • Speak and write reports in Chinese due to negotiation with brands, resellers, KOLs etc. of Chinese background.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • 3 years of experience in creator partnerships management, mixed experience on social media platform side, brand side, and e-commerce side, with ideally a strong connection with local Chinese influencers
  • Data driven, strong execution, good communication, collaborative, and time management skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of content, especially Douyin, Little Red Book, BiliBili, Taobao Live content and livestreaming-driven platforms.
  • Experience in the live streaming space and understanding of live streaming trends
  • Experience working in ambiguity, achieving results in a fast-paced environment, and continually adapting to changing business needs

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $91200 - $192000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
