The Social Media Strategist is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of employee engagement initiatives as part of CDW's Social Media program. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in Social Media and usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience to establish, evolve and evangelize employee engagement across the company.
CDW is looking for a high-judgement, customer-obsessed, creative and results-driven teammate to join our Social Media team and drive our employee engagement efforts. The Social Media Strategist will work closely with our Content, Field Marketing, Communications, & Career Social stakeholders to define, deliver, and operationalize the organization’s strategy. When executed right, employee engagement increases the organization’s productivity, performance, alignment to goals, and job satisfaction.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manages key employee engagement social media programs with specific focus on driving strategic and tactical alignment working with internal stakeholders such as: marketing strategy, creative, research, .com, and organic social.
- Collaborates with diverse cross-functional teams to identify and implement regular program enhancements as part of continuous improvement efforts.
- Responsible for the planning, execution and on-going management of social media programs focused on building brand awareness, driving digital engagement, igniting community advocacy and delivering an optimal online customer experience.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing and social media industry standards, best practices and trends for the assigned areas with the ability to educate and train others.
- Experience with testing, analyzing metrics, and executing action plans to achieve annual goals.
- Collaborates with agencies to plan and execute existing and develop new activities that aligns to goals.
- Define and execute organization-wide employee engagement initiatives including the influence and alignment of multiple stakeholders, define project plans, assemble resources, manage implementation activities, and develop all processes associated with program roll-out and ongoing support.
- Develop and drive a scalable internal communication infrastructure framework, programs, platforms, and channels that effectively deliver and track messaging that engage and inspire employee culture around the organization’s mission, values, and activities.
- Build trust, influence, and credibility with a matrixed set of national stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between relevant teams to ensure internal communications content is laddering up to core themes, big rock moments, and is engaging to all employees across the org and our partners.
- Contribute and participate in annual agency scoping conversations.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Social Media channels (such as organize, paid, or employee/customer advocacy) and platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or YouTube.
- Working knowledge of employee advocacy tools such as FirstUp/ Dynamic Signal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with sales productivity tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the company including Senior Leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and conduct primary research.
- Experience in developing or utilizing strategic sales campaigns.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strategic relationships.
- Ability to multitask and be adaptable in a fast-changing environment.
- 2 years of experience in Digital Marketing environments and digital marketing tools (Technology Enablement Only).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of Social Media and/or Marketing experience.
- Media agency or client-side media experience.
- Omnichannel experience; particularly digital channels including direct, social, programmatic, SEM, influencer marketing, media analytics, and content marketing.
