As part of the Content Creation & Digital Integration team, the Influencer Communications Intern is responsible for supporting day-to-day influencer initiatives on behalf of Disney Experiences. This role joins a specialized bi-coastal team that works closely with partners across the segment to elevate stories among key advocates and content creators. Social media influencers are the future of PR/communications, and we work within the ever-evolving digital space. We are an innovative team who loves to try new things. We gather and analyze reporting, and we also get to participate in some very unique events! This team plays a role in all of the new attractions and events!

This is a full-time internship for a duration of six months starting in June 2024 through the beginning of January 2025.

As an Influencer Communications Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:


  • Support influencer engagement by identifying and vetting influencers for projects; including managing outreach, invitation process, and serving as a resource for content development.
  • Responsible for creating and securing inbound influencer requests, collaboration ideas, and individual media visits.
  • Source, build and maintain the team’s network of influencers, vloggers and TikTok creators, including researching and discovering new creator contacts.
  • Assist with in-person and virtual influencer events and collaborating with Special Events team to coordinate necessary logistics and travel plans.
  • Develop campaign/project reports and analyze metrics to provide valuable insights.
  • Stay apprised of emerging social media features/platforms, competitive landscape and influencer industry trends.


Required Qualifications & Skills


  • Self-starter
  • Strong computer skills in database management in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Apple Keynote, etc.
  • Social media savviness across multiple platforms
  • Passionate about the social media and influencer space and bring a unique personal and professional perspective.
  • Loves working collaboratively on projects and not afraid to share “blue sky” ideas.
  • Nimble, organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, while paying close attention to detail.
  • Appreciation for the Disney brand and understand the many global businesses represented within Disney Experiences.
  • Relevant experience in Communications/Public Relations and/or Influencer Marketing.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strategic mindset and flair for disruptive thinking,
  • Relevant experience in developing/managing social media presence
  • Agency experience in Public Relations or Advertising managing multiple accounts simultaneously


Required Education


  • A junior, senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Creative Writing, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, Customer Engagement, Social Communication, Broadcast Communications or other relevant subjects


Eligibility Requirements


  • Enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Alignment with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • This internship is a hybrid position - Ability to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
  • Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 - January 2025
  • Be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the six-month internship
  • Be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
