Job Description

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dynamic VP, Sponsorship Consulting leader with expertise in women's sports to work with our roster of Fortune 500 clients. You will advise our client on building best-in-class women's sports strategy, activation, leading rightsholder management and sponsorship measurement. You will be our internal leader of women's sports business, spearheading our agency strategy focus on women's sports, generating though leadership, and securing speaking engagements.

About You:

You have experience with women’s sports and you can take a dynamic approach to leading a brand’s sponsorship strategy. Your knowledge of the business of women’s sports and follow its leagues, teams, players, and trends. You will manage strategic, integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns. You will be someone who can increase results and revenue. You will work with clients and partner with teammates to implement exceptional programs. This is a hybrid opportunity that will report into the Vice President, Group Director and lead a skilled team of marketers.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead a team, inspire the best work and cultivate careers for rising stars..
  • Understand the sponsorship industry and experience working on high-profile sponsorship programs involving properties such as the WNBA, NWSL, NFL, NASCAR, NBA, MLS, PGA TOUR, NHL, USOC, and MLB (not including sales, operations, or athlete management experience), and high-profile Entertainment properties
  • Serve as an internal leader for women’s sports, driving plans that enhance the agency's presence and influence in this space
  • Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions
  • You will develop client solutions that address their marketing goals and be able to present to the most senior levels and client organizations
  • You will establish high-level relationships with client leaders and grow revenue through astute knowledge of cross-selling organizational capabilities
  • Collaborate with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships
  • Write and develop important documents including POV documents to client-ready status
  • Negotiate with local, national, and global rightsholders on behalf of clients, securing win-win agreements that surpass client expectations
  • Contribute to new business activities including brainstorming, presentation writing and presentation delivery
  • 25% travel

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience directly working on high profile sponsorship programs involving properties such as the WNBA, NWSL, NFL, NASCAR, NBA, MLS, PGA TOUR, NHL, USOC, and MLB
  • 8+ years of experience leading a team and contributing to internal activities (team building, events, off-sites)
  • BA/BS in Marketing related field

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000-$182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
