Growing technology user group in the city is looking to add a Social Media Specialist to join their team!

JOB TITLE: Social Media Specialist
LOCATION: Chicago, IL - remote until COVID restrictions are lifted
ROLE TYPE/DURATION: Permanent, direct hire
COMPENSATION: up to $55K, commensurate with experience

JOB SUMMARY: Our client is seeking a social media marketer who loves to investigate what drives their members to engage with them - willing to test and optimize campaigns as well as strives to ensure that every customer’s social experience with our client is valuable and enjoyable. You’ll manage the social strategy and implementation in our client’s channels in concert with the marketing team and business owners. You are a natural connector and love working with influencers in the market and finding ways to get members and possible members to engage with the client to move the business forward.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generating, editing, publishing and sharing daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages members to take action
- Setting up and optimizing company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderating all user-generated content and defining/developing influencer program
- Creating editorial calendars and syndication schedules
- Continuously improving by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices - acting on the information
- Collaborating with other departments (communities, customer relations, sales) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
What’s Required To Apply
- 2-5 years of experience - within B2B or enterprise technology
- Strategic mindset - can come in and put together content calendar for 2021
- Execution focused - will be in the weeds and engaging with member of the user community
- Analytical - can review analytics and suggest improvements
- Experience with Sprout Social, Hootsuite and Microsoft Office Suite - Google Analytics is a huge plus
- Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Strong creative writing chops and a proactive approach to solving problems
- Ability to collaborate and “hold the line” with various constituents who may have differing points of view
