Assembly has an exciting opportunity for an Account Supervisor, Influencer on the Microsoft account. This vital position will lead the daily account management of the Influencer and Content Creator Programs. It will focus on digital influencers and content creators and the work the brand is doing to engage this ever-growing and significant audience to increase awareness of their products and services.
This position requires strong account management and project management skills, the ability to supervise a busy account, including managing staff and serving as a daily counterpart to clients, and a background working with influencers and/or content creators. You will be charged with introducing clients to the power of building compelling stories through influencer marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic counsel, guidance and leadership to clients and staff in the areas of influencer programs, campaign development, content strategy and paid media.
- Work as part of integrated teams
- Supervise team members ensuring constant development of their skills, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback
- Effectively budget new scopes of work and assist in managing staff utilization to meet targets
- Build and maintain relationships with contacts across Edelman divisions
Planning:
- Ongoing ideation, campaign development, support, and strategic consultation around major initiatives and key moments to produce influencer content for the U.S. but that can also be leveraged globally
- Work as part of integrated teams, infusing influencer into PR, marketing and paid programs
- Effectively budget new scopes of work and build influencer plans (strategic & tactical)
- Build and maintain relationships with contacts across Assembly and Edelman divisions
- Analyze industry trends, comparing competitive activities and opportunities
- Serve as integral member of the team, contributing to ongoing reports and ongoing cross-company efforts in concert with other agencies and teams
Campaign Management:
- Jump into existing workstreams across the client and develop and apply actionable strategies for engaging relevant content creators and influencers
- Prepare and present campaign briefings/updates/recaps for clients
- Identify new content creators by vertical and category
- Maintain thoughtful relationships with select influencers to gauge ongoing sentiment and engagement opportunities
- When appropriate, oversee and negotiate contracts with influencers on behalf of clients
- When appropriate, oversee and negotiate necessary travel arrangements via travel agent vendor for influencers
- Oversee and execute the creation of briefing materials for influencers and for clients
- When appropriate, coordinate with influencers on deliverables
- Work with internal specialists and oversee and recommend enhanced paid and analytics plans
Staff Management:
- Manage junior staff on various workstreams (based on assignments)
- Where appropriate, ensure constant development of their skills
- Motivate, coach, consistently providing feedback
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience in client service, preferably leading large matrixed accounts
- Experience in influencer marketing including maintaining relationships with influencers and management agencies, executing small and large influencer programs from start to finish, both earned and paid
- Strong client skills, along with proven ability to develop and manage complex influencer marketing programs from micro to mid- and top-tier
- Hands-on supervisor who works well with a team to do great work, and can write and present well to clients
- Creative problem-solving abilities
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an agency setting, technology media, or related field; Influencer Marketing experience
- Experience working with and managing high-performing teams in an fast-paced
- Strong strategy and content skills, with a proven track record working with large brands on integrated campaigns
- A track record of successful program execution in the influencer or closely related space
- Extensive experience presenting to key stakeholders
