We are a social-first brand that uses our online platform to create and curate content that educates and inspires people to live healthier, happier lives through nutrition, self-development and gratitude practices.
With the help of a PhD Natural Chemist and over a dozen herbal medicine practitioners, we develop innovative and purpose-driven herbal blends that can strengthen our bodies immunity to stressors -- from stress, anxiety and depression to insomnia, fatigue and more.
All of our products utilize the power of adaptogens -- “a select group of herbs and mushrooms that help the body ‘adapt to’ stressors. We focus primarily on hemp-derived cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBG, etc.) and functional mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Reishi and Cordyceps.
Our signature daily product, Bliss, is a doctor-formulated blend of three powerful adaptogens that can supercharge immunity, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, and boost cognitive function. Bliss Blend takes the stress out of your every day so you can relax and focus on what matters most.
We will be launching 3-5 new products in 2021 - including a Bedtime Blend (Tincture), and 2-4 adaptogenic lattes (matcha, golden milk, chai and cacao).
What We Are Looking For:
Blossom is looking for a hungry, experienced creative director that can transform our storytelling and brand advertising across the country. This role requires the desire and focus to usher in change and the drive to build the premier in-house creative agency. The key to fulfilling our mission is to infuse the customer voice into our marketing and advertising, to be clever and creative, and to be flawless and passionate in our execution. Your work will touch all aspects of the brand’s presence including digital, events, web content, print, and traditional media.
The Creative Director is responsible for managing everything that people see and read about the brand -- including brand guidelines, package design, web design, product photography, social media content, paid advertising, and more.
The Creative Director will work directly with the CEO and take full ownership of the Company’s creative strategy. To be successful, this person will already have experience with branding, graphic design (adobe illustrator or photoshop), web design (shopify), and building/leading a team of creatives.
From expressing our brand vision and ethos to helping consumers find the best solutions and product for their daily routine, our Creative Director is a skilled and artful storyteller who weaves together content and commerce.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the CEO to perfect brand assets and messaging -- including guidelines, mission, vision and values.
- Become the brand’s in-house steward for ongoing brand strategy work, social media, package design, and e-commerce site development.
- Create content for social media, email and the website that creates trust in viewers, drives product trial, generates brand awareness, and develops an engaged and excited subscriber and customer base.
- Refresh packaging design for our signature product, Bliss Blend.
- Design the packaging for future products -- including Bedtime Blend and adaptogenic lattes.
- Collaborate with contracted photographers and videographers to bring the brand aesthetic to life.
- Update and maintain the web design using Shopify.
- Collaborate with paid influencers to create content for the brand.
- Interface with Head of Marketing to create assets required for marketing strategy -- including paid media and email template design.
- Drive the evolution of our brand positioning.
- Track, quality and organize a robust system for data-analytics and KPIs -- including tracking clicks, conversions, likes, comments, shares, etc.)
Experience:
- 3+ years experience in branding, graphic design, social media, Shopify web design, copywriting and data analytics.
- Experience managing and scaling a social media community via organic content creation, paid ads and/or influencer marketing.
- Must have strong leadership skills and have experience building and managing a creative team.
- Must be organized and timely with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be analytical, with a proven ability to measure KPIs -- including clicks, conversions, licks, comments, shares, etc.
- Must be agile with your creative abilities -- including photo, video, graphics and copywriting.
- Must be a forward thinker -- not afraid to try new things and create new trends in the creative space. Must be able to look at where trends are going, instead of where trends are or were.
- Maintain a strong work ethic -- must showcase the ability to work hard and be results-driven.
- Have a self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Must be resilient, and be able to take constructive criticism without being discouraged.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo.

Compensation:
Since this is an early-stage startup, this position will initially be compensated with a significant equity stake. The company will look to provide a salary and benefits as soon as it is sustainable to do so. We will be looking to raise a seed round in approximately 6-12 months.
Joining initially on a part-time basis with a plan to join full-time upon a successful seed round is a possibility.
