Disney Streaming Services is a business unit within The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment that oversees all consumer-facing digital video subscription services across the company. Disney Streaming is responsible for developing and operating The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer video businesses globally, including the ESPN+ premium sports streaming service, programmed in conjunction with ESPN; the Disney+ SVOD service; and BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer video streaming products and solutions. Its core mission is to deliver global audiences the freedom to access content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.
The Customer Acquisition team is tasked with driving new subscriber growth for Disney Streaming Services. The team is responsible for the planning, execution and optimization of user acquisition and performance marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has a passion for the digital media landscape and understands the intricacies and unique attributes of every step in the marketing funnel.
The Senior Manager, Affiliate Marketing & Influencers will play a critical role in a growing affiliate business. Specific responsibilities will include developing and executing the strategy, building partnerships with vendors/publishers/affiliates and optimizing campaigns and budgets. The successful candidate will bring a highly analytical, creative, and flexible growth mindset to the role, which will be critical to delivering breakthrough thinking for this channel. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, conversion and efficiency for streaming services
- Lead both our ESPN+ affiliate marketing team and our influencer marketing team, directly managing our more junior team members to drive successful team results
- Support research and business development efforts to identify and establish relationships with new affiliate partners
- Continue to scale and optimize our influencer performance marketing initiatives
- Expand our influencer marketing initiatives into new channels and cross-functional partnerships with other teams in marketing
- Ensure adequate diversity, inclusion, and representation across our affiliate partners and influencer talent
- Execute strategy across affiliate ecosystem including sell-in documents, bounty models and contracts
- Regularly analyze data and metrics to identify key opportunities to improve KPI performance, increase scale, and enhance efficiency of marketing spend
- Manage and optimize performance and spend across partners
- Drive innovation with partners to get them excited to promote our products
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years digital marketing experience on direct-to-consumer, preferably in-house
- Passion for sports and sports marketing
- Subject matter expertise within affiliate marketing and how to optimize to drive performance across various affiliate models
- Subject matter expertise within influencer space across all major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tik Tok, Pinterest, Snapchat)
- Knowledge of paid social space, particularly Facebook and Instagram
- Highly analytical mindset with an understanding of acquisition funnel, economics and profitability levers
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong partner or client management skills
- Passion for innovation, creative problem solving, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Flexibility & ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- A strong communicator with a can-do, positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done.
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent of applicable years of experience preferred
