Paid Media Strategist

We're looking for an experienced Paid Media Strategist for a San Diego-based media and talent development company. You'll drive subscriptions and site traffic for their influencer and creator clients, create first-rate ad content that converts, and test, track, and optimize campaigns. Basically, a one-person paid media powerhouse with proven success managing significant (6-figure+) monthly ad budgets.

It's critical that you have experience running campaigns featuring adult-oriented content (think Only Fans) and working with ad networks like TrafficJunky.

This is a remote position, though San Diego-based is preferred for occasional (safely-distanced) meetings and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, negotiate, activate, and optimize paid media campaigns across PPC, social media, search, email, display and more
  • Drive subscriptions and site traffic to client social pages and subscription platforms (IG, TikTok, Snap, OnlyFans)
  • Curate and create ad content with photo, video, graphics and copy/CTAs
  • Produce regular performance, interpret data, establish benchmarks, and provide actionable plans and recommendations based on insights
  • Establish relationships with relevant ad network and platform representatives to secure the best placements at the most competitive prices
  • Identify and present new opportunities and areas of growth that will improve digital media ROI
  • Test the performance of ad creatives and copy, page design, and other campaign elements to improve results
  • Gather data on consumer and industry trends and behaviors, competitors, and market conditions
  • Collaborate with team members to create full-funnel integrated marketing campaigns across all channels
  • Work with the Director of Talent and Revenue to develop audience growth and monetization strategies and build our customer and client network
  • Be the thought leader around all things media buying, content that resonates with audiences across all platforms, our competitors and opportunities across the adult content space in social media
  • Know everything there is to know about social media trends, competitors, great content, tips/tricks/tools for creating and tracking content

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success executing and managing performance-driven digital media campaigns and buying ads against CPA and conversion goals with 6-figure+ monthly budgets
  • Highly experienced with Google Ads and FB/IG media, PPC, paid social, paid display, as well as other digital media advertising networks like exoClick, TrafficJunky, etc.
  • Experience with adult-oriented ad buys and a rolodex of contacts in the space at relevant ad networks and platforms
  • Experience with A/B testing software such as Optimizely, VWO, FunnelFlux, Hojar, or comparable tools
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Solid graphic design chops - you can ad graphics, make pixel adjustments, create compelling ads that convert
  • Must be super analytical and able to extract data, create reports, present findings, and make decisions to facilitate audience and revenue growth
  • Flexible schedule and able to manage campaigns on nights and weekends as needed
  • Highly motivated and self-starting - must be able to strategize and execute with minimal oversight on a day-to-day basis
  • Team-mentality. Must have a good attitude, maintain professionalism, be kind, and promote an overall healthy and people-first work environment
  • Respond to calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency
  • Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Work well and calmly under pressure
  • Proficient with Google products and project management software
