POSITION OVERVIEW

Media Bridge is looking for a content or copywriting extraordinaire with social media know-how to join our New Media team! If you’re creative and you can become a chameleon to all different tones/voices, we’re ready to learn about you. This role will support our internal communications as well as help bring our client’s messages to life on digital platforms.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term goals
  • Own content creation and distribution to online channels and craft content for blog posts, press social media, newsletters, etc.
  • Responsible for creating, editing, posting, updating, and occasionally cleaning up outdated content
  • Assist in copy for paid social ads (Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to create engaging blog content and optimize according to SEO goals
  • Own the newsletter process - create and follow content strategy, create written content, and collaborate with creative team to ensure design elements match overall content themes
  • Create customer personas
  • Create simple canva templates or edit based on new copy/content
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience attention

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in copywriting or content creation/management
  • Experience writing and editing both long- and short-form pieces
  • Excellent writing & editing skills across various content styles
  • Ability to change tone/voice of copy for various clients
  • Basic understanding of optimizing content for SEO
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Self-starter + solution-driven
  • Candidates should be comfortable in a small business/startup environment where they can have far greater responsibility and impact
  • Social ad copy experience desired but not required
  • Sense of humor!

*Interest in influencer marketing would be great, but not required!
