We are seeking a dynamic Customer Acquisition Director who thrives on competing in both the ecommerce space, as well as traditional retail platforms. International experience is very desirable. This critical role is responsible for customer acquisition, site merchandising and optimization as well as customer relationship management for the Original Grain brand. We are seeking a driven marketer who isn’t afraid to try new things and is passionate about growing a great brand in the DTC space.
This position is full-time with the possibility of remote work.
Core Responsibilities:
Head of Growth/DTC:
1. Develop the overall strategy, execution, and partner management of all advertising channels including paid social, paid search, display remarketing, influencer marketing, YouTube, and direct mail
2. Responsible for driving top-line revenue at a prescribed marketing efficiency ratio (i.e. a set percentage of revenue spent on marketing)
? Build/manage monthly marketing budgets, forecast KPIs, and monitor performance pacing
3. Manage daily optimization of digital ad campaigns directly with our paid agencies (FB/IG, Google/YT, etc)
4. Manage internal and external creative resources to constantly test and optimize creative and copy.
5. Find new copy angles to promote the Original Grain brand and product
6. Manage the overall influencer marketing strategy to drive sales/ROI as well as to source UGC to help paid marketing efforts
7. Brainstorm new growth strategies by finding and evaluating new marketing channels, allocating a budget, and reporting back on performance.
8. Manage internal marketing managers supporting social, site merchandising, and CRM. Set aggressive, measurable goals for increasing customer engagement and work closely with the CRM and Site Merch Manager to optimize website and email campaigns to increase conversions and strengthen brand affinity
9. Oversee the landing page strategy for cold traffic and working with internal team to develop these pages to convert more traffic and educate our customers on the product
? Retention manager (and ecomm coordinator) will be responsible for the actual development & implementation of landing pages, but you will oversee the strategy
Qualifications and Requirements:
? 5+ years experience in a quantitative media buying position with mobile acquisition focus
? Facebook Ads experience required
? Experience managing a large marketing budget to daily ROAS targets.
? Expertise with SQL, Excel, Google AdWords, Google Analytics and other analytical tools.
? Scientific method approach; develop hypotheses and then run analysis to prove or disprove your theories.
? Top-notch communication skills, verbal, and written, in order to share your learnings with the wider product team.
? Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (Stats, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, CS, Engineering etc.) a bonus
? A focus on continuous improvement and learning about our potential customers, and how to convert them to be new customers.
? Extremely detailed-oriented, relentless about validating data and proving out ROI.
? Experience with cohort analysis, LTV models as well as financial/growth modeling
? Bonus points for experience with Programmatic media buying
