Responsibilities:

  • Role reports to the Vice President of Public Relations and works in tandem with the PR Manager
  • Daily monitoring of influencer community
  • Proactive communication lead with influencer communities
  • Daily monitoring of influencer marketing industry landscape + competitor landscape
  • Scale earned influencer programs
  • Create department recaps showcasing results of influencer activity
  • Manage paid influencer programs + prepare analytical reports for larger team (negotiate rates & handle contracts etc.)
  • Communicate earned and paid program benchmarks across social platforms (IG, YouTube, TikTok etc.) to the larger team to advise future strategies
  • Develop and build strategic influencer programs (i.e. ambassador programs, creative deliveries, community building activities etc.) that ladder back to annual brand objectives
  • Proactively identify best-in-class influencers to join brand communities (pros, tastemakers, content creators, artists, musicians etc.)
  • Reactively vet all influencer requests on behalf of brands
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing, Digital Marketing, Sales, Creative etc.
  • Work with PR team to ideate and execute press & influencer events, virtual events, creative mailers, seeding opportunities etc.
  • Manage influencer seeding list
  • Manage influencer affiliate marketing strategy

You have a deep relationship with influencers, pros and tastemakers, a strong attention to detail, sharp writing & communication skills and a passion for the beauty, wellness, and lifestyle industries. You are a creative thinker with an impeccable work ethic, organizational skills and a willingness to learn with a go-getter attitude. You thrive in a fast paced environment and take pride in representing a highly reputable, established brand in the cannabis industry. You are nimble in your approach to Influencer Marketing and understand how to delicately navigate communications in an ever-evolving industry.

Additionally, you’ll possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-6 years of experience handling beauty, wellness or lifestyle influencer strategy in-house at a brand or at an agency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Cision.
  • Proficient in Influencer Tracking / Community Management (Tribe Dynamics, Creator IQ, Influential etc.)
  • Portfolio of successful past earned and paid influencer campaigns, events, product launch support etc.
  • Passion for the influencer space, appetite to learn new skills and keep up with trends within the beauty, wellness and cannabis space and ability to keep up with new platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, Clubhouse etc.)
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to influencer marketing; must be able to nimbly approach launches and messaging in a startup-centric environment
  • An understanding of affiliate marketing
  • Possess strong understanding of FTC guidelines and working within legal guardrails
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable yet persistent
  • Aptitude to manage delicate relationships with influencers
  • Have a pulse point on trends and willingness to understand the ever changing landscape of the CBD and cannabis space
  • Be highly organized and bring a high level of attention to detail and intellectual rigor, while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
