The Role
As Motive’s Social Account Director you will be responsible for the management, growth and overall health of our social media clients and team. You’ll do all the usual stuff like building client relationships, growing social media communities through compelling campaigns and providing strategic guidance on how to engage with fans, plus you’ll get to lead some of the most innovative and passionate social media clients through award-winning campaigns and big ideas. Throughout it all, you will get to work in tight collaboration with the agency’s social media and creative teams as well as interface with leadership, clients, vendors and partner agencies.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Client Account Leadership: Build a detailed-understanding of Motive’s social media clients and their brand objectives and use those insights to strategically advise clients on solutions that achieve business, marketing and engagement objectives. As a great team leader, you will oversee multiple projects at the same time and guide each client team to success.
- Team Management: Develop and build the social team by mentoring, training and identifying key areas for opportunity. Provide guidance and feedback that will continue to push each individual to provide the best work and deliverables for the clients.
- Social Innovation: Responsible for partnering with leadership to evolve the social media offering as changes occur in consumer dynamics, the world landscape or social adoption. Stay abreast of industry trends and relevant platform news to always push new and innovative opportunities within the social media space.
- Business Expansion: Identify opportunities to grow the social offering and develop a plan to expand existing account opportunities, while also supporting the agency on new business pitches.
- High-Quality Output: Oversee the quality control for all deliverables; ensure deadlines and accounts are managed on budget and beyond client expectations.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years managing social media accounts and clients (agency experience required).
- Minimum of 4 - 5 years experience managing teams in the social/digital space.
- Deep level of understanding with all social media platforms, content creation processes, paid social execution and influencer marketing practices.
- Passion for creativity, advertising and innovation.
- Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems on the fly and work on several initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a great attention to detail.
- Collaborative and imaginative approach to problem solving.
- Desire to be a part of something great and hold yourself to a higher standard.

The starting salary for this position is between $90,000 and $140,000 annually, based on experience and the Denver, CO market. Actual pay may vary if located in our LA, NYC, or Toronto locations.
