Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Sr. Product Marketing Manager will be the internal and external expert on our market, our customers, and our product so you can communicate the value of GRIN’s offerings with confidence. You will work with our Product Marketing, Content Production and Go To Market teams to make GRIN successful in-market. You will embrace a data-driven approach to help communicate the value of GRIN’s software, features, and problems it solves. This position will also have a deep understanding of the Influencer Marketing Industry, build deep relationships with GRIN’s internal teams, and work on strategic priorities to make an impact on our sales and growth.

GRIN is headquartered in Sacramento, CA and has a Remote First work policy, meaning "work from home" is the default. GRIN has office space available in Sacramento if you decide to go into the office a few days a week, and there are a few days each quarter that you'll be required to come in to headquarters for quarterly planning meetings, with travel covered by the company.

What will you do?

  • Lay the foundation for Product Marketing overall as the first hire in this specialty. Please note you would be the only person in product marketing and this is a strategy + execution role, not a leadership/strategy only role.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the influencer marketing industry including GRIN’s product, our competitors and their capabilities, and GRIN’s differentiation.
  • Create ongoing product training programs to communicate value of new and existing GRIN products and features to internal teams
  • Evolve and maintain quantified buyer personas, including targeting strategies and willingness to pay.
  • Partner closely with go-to-market teams (lead generation, sales, onboarding, retention/expansion, partner) to tell compelling stories that help build demand and drive revenue across the customer lifecycle.
  • Partner with the Content and Creative team to develop compelling and easy to understand internally facing content for Sales, Customer Support, and others including; sales training, positioning, FAQs, battlecards, and more.
  • Drive high-visibility product launches to demonstrate innovation and ultimately drive new revenue.
  • Help external industry analysts and influencers view GRIN as a leader in all relevant categories.
  • Serve as key internal owner for training, messaging, and internal communications around new product launches, feature updates, and modifications to the GRIN narrative
  • Participate in pricing and packaging discussions with helpful research, analysis, and suggested strategies

What will you bring?

  • 4+ years experience in Marketing, 2+ years experience in Product Marketing
  • Excellent collaboration and organization skills, excelling at both high-level thinking and execution as well as influencing and inspiring others to achieve a common goal.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This role demands someone who is gifted in their ability to use the spoken and written word to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS products required
  • SMB and martech experience preferred
  • Experience writing SQL queries, Segment product analytics are plusses
