Associate Consultant, Reputation Strategy and Plan Engagement
Overview
The Associate Consultant, Reputation Strategy and Plan Engagement, is responsible for supporting BCBSA and its Plan communication engagement strategies supporting BCBS independent companies. This work includes the Strategic Communications Advisory Network (SCAN) and the Community Investment and Partnership (CIP) Workgroups within the BCBS system. This role also coordinates data collection related to Plan initiatives, announcements, and community activities; and supports influencer engagement activation.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the BCBS Strategic Communications Advisory Network (SCAN) and the Community Investment and Partnership (CIP) Workgroups
- Coordinate meeting agendas and presentation development, ensuring accurate and timely delivery each month
- Coordinate three in-person meetings each year, including planning, promotion, materials development and follow-up
- Collect, categorize and drive real-time resolution of Plan requests and supports the onboarding of new members
- Modernize collaboration and information-sharing among and between BCBSA and Plans, including primary responsibility for the timely updating and use of Plan Connexion and other digital platforms
- Support annual Community Investment report process, including data collection, program database population and maintenance and publication schedule
Facilitate Plan information and data collection related to Plan initiatives, announcements, and community activities
- Using relationship-building, dedicated feedback sessions and technology-supported solutions (e.g., BlueWeb and Plan Connexion) develop and maintain a two-way flow of information between BCBSA (national trends) and the Plans (local market developments)
- Identify key opportunities and collaboration possibilities between BCBSA and Plans to develop market-leading and measurable communications strategies to support BCBS System priorities
- Build and maintain Plan Intelligence database to capture Plan announcements, initiatives and other information to support and inform Strategic Communications, Strategy, Brand, OPR and other applicable groups within BCBSA
Coordinate national third party influencer strategy and implementation
- Assist in the implementation and growth of the Third-Party Influencer Strategy
- Identify collaboration opportunities and assist in the development of content, outreach and implementation
- Maintain Influencer Database and regularly liaise with Plans to add Influencers, update entries and improve user experience
Required Basic Qualifications
Qualifications
- Two or more years of professional experience in strategic planning, public relations, journalism, marketing communications or digital marketing
- B achelor’s Degree in public relations, journalism, English, marketing communications or related field
- High level of organization, with a commitment to accuracy and completeness of deliverables and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
- Experience with multiple communications channels (print and email communication, presentations, multimedia) to disseminate messaging and information
- Ability to work individually and within a team
Preferred Basic Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare strongly preferred
- Experience with data analytics, including information gathering, analysis and reporting
