Social Media Marketing Manager

Komar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing and distribution of apparel with a diverse portfolio of owned and licensed brands is seeking a Social Media Marketing Manager. Candidates must have the ability to work remotely and in our Jersey City, NJ office.

Purpose & Scope:

Facilitate the implementation of cohesive social media marketing plans including strategies and tactics that result in measurable impact in terms of engagement, awareness and sales for the Cuddl Duds brand; coordinate paid social and digital advertising efforts; assist the Komar Marketing and Communications Director to ensure clear and consistent messaging strategies in line with the mission and values of Komar.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Strategy:

- Develop content and strategy for Cuddl Duds social media platforms and serve as the driving force behind all social media initiatives and digital media campaigns for the Cuddl Duds brand.

- Create, curate and publish all approved calendar content (image, written and video) on a day-to-day basis.

- Plan weekly meetings to review and social media content calendar and strategy in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Director to ensure social media is integrated with all marketing efforts

- Develop creative briefs/overviews for content needs and coordinate with brand teams, creative services and content creators to secure imagery and assets in a timely fashion.

- Ensure posts across all social platforms are approved and properly tagged.

- Contribute and collaborate on synergistic social media opportunities with priority retail partners

- Anticipate all deadlines for graphics, designs, content and develop a plan of action to ensure enough time for management approvals.

- Monitor social and digital media trends in the competitive landscape, sharing learnings with brand team.

- Attend Brand Meetings; Photo Shoots, etc., as necessary, to understand and develop the brand voice

Community Engagement:

- Monitor, listen and respond to users on brand’s social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

- Continuously develop new strategies to engage followers and expand community growth; identify and engage topic influencers and brand advocates.

- Build consistent conversation with the focus on nurturing relationships to improve organic reach

- Actively monitor community responses on a daily basis, and bring any urgent/critical responses to the attention of the brand teams in a timely fashion.

- Monitor platforms for customer service issues and disseminate to appropriate teams when applicable.

Influencer Marketing:

- Identify, vet, generate outreach, negotiate and secure brand-right influencer partnerships

- Manage, execute and monitor influencer campaign and influencer agencies

- Prepare final reporting highlighting KPIs

Paid Social

- Recommend paid campaign strategies vs organic content based on performance and analytics

- Advise on strategy for boosted / paid posts with Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest

- Ensure promoted posts are optimized

- Run Facebook and Instagram ads including setting up custom audiences for specific brands/campaigns.

- Keep track of daily and monthly social spend and results and provide reports at end of each month.

Social Reporting & Analysis:

- Prepare monthly reporting highlighting KPIs

- Analyze social campaigns and translate data into recommendations on optimizations for future campaigns.

Marketing & Advertising:

  • Coordinate annual advertising efforts with Marketing & Communications Director
  • Responsible for support on all marketing materials needed for Komar corporate and proprietary brands

Experience:

  • BA/BS required
  • 2+ years in managing consumer brand communities on multiple social platforms and/or digital marketing of consumer brands/ products
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a results-driven mindset with the ability to gauge content performance/ engagement to inform strategies for growth
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize needs of business
  • Knowledge of Facebook advertising
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, or any editing software, is a plus
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, or other digital marketing knowledge, is a plus
