Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and creative B2B writer, ideally with a journalism or agency background, to drive the creation of content that will resonate with our US audience, focusing on small and medium businesses.
You will have experience writing for channels including top-of-funnel blogs, social media, email, video, and long-form guides and articles. Experience in producing vertical-specific content, providing deep insight for the construction, manufacturing, distribution, chemical and F&B industries is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding complex issues impacting our audience and creating clear, authoritative content
- Ideating to support population of the global and regional content calendars, with insightful angles and themes appropriate to each of our vertical audiences in the medium space
- Efficiently managing personal content workflows in platforms including Workfront and Skyword to meet deadlines and respond to stakeholder requests in an efficient manner
- Interviewing high-profile and influential industry decision-makers, and developing solid industry contacts and networks to produce effective and innovative content
- Ensuring content is in alignment to Sage audiences and buying stages and driving consistent and timely delivery across all formats
- Presenting to wider team and stakeholders across the business
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B digital writing experience (agency or in-house)
- A major plus if experienced in writing different demand-gen content formats, including but not limited to: eBooks, infographics, webinar scripts, case studies, surveys, buyers guides, etc.
- Experience in writing SEO content
- Experience in writing to a high journalistic standard – please share at least x3 examples of your work, showcasing ability to write in multiple formats for a B2B audience
- Experience with project management platforms and content management systems e.g. Workfront, Wordpress, Skyword, Hootsuite
- Experience or degree in communications, marketing, digital marketing, business, or relevant field

Technical / Professional Qualifications

- Highly skilled writer
- Understanding of digital marketing channels – SEO, social media, influencer marketing. Knowledge of content marketing strategies also a plus
