The data strategist works on the Digital Research and Analytics team. They ensure data accuracy, possess a deep-knowledge of data collection and tracking methods, and develop strategies to reach campaign objectives. They are the voice of the customer and help to define effective creative and the psychological forces behind metrics. They work across all marketing channels (web, social, display, email, television, print) and understand the capabilities and limits of each. Engaging, thoughtful, and detail-oriented presenter that can connect with the audience and marry the data to the strategy/execution.

As we navigate these unprecedented times and continue to expand interactions digitally, our team is continuing to grow! We are looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst with a love for data visualization and generating actionable insights from raw data. This position will be part of our Digital Production and Design Research teams and support our growing advocacy work. We are currently working from home due to the stay in place order so this role will begin remotely. When Wondros resumes regular office operations, the Data Strategist, depending on their location, will be able to work at a nearby Wondros office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify research/data gaps, develop hypotheses, and gain a more comprehensive view of the audience, category landscape or opportunity at large.
  • Maintain data accuracy. Expert level cleaning and combing through large data sets.
  • Partner with creative teams – helping to guide and inspire them at every touchpoint – from brief development to briefing to ideation, etc.
  • Thorough and thoughtful analysis of business/brand, category, consumer and cultural trends that highlights opportunities for clients’ businesses and inform strategic output
  • Translate information into inspiring insights and actionable strategies – responsible for development of briefs, narratives, frameworks, and optimization recommendations for brands
  • Build wireframes for dashboards and articulate the data-inputs to create them.
  • Be a team player. Show initiative on where you can add value throughout projects and across various brand teams. Look for new opportunities where strategy can play a pivotal role for the brand. Work collaboratively with the creative, account, and media team to support their needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree. Marketing, business administration, math, or communications preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of data or strategy experience within a creative agency
  • Demonstrable research knowledge - working with both primary and secondary research as well as qualitative and quantitative methodologies/data
  • Expert-level knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and equations)
  • Familiar and comfortable with a broad range of approaches for building brands including creative assets audit, media allocation recommendations, customer journey, communications/connections planning, social media, influencer marketing, etc.
  • Able to combine rigor with reduction. Taking on a comprehensive approach to information, while being able to distill it down to the most poignant insights and opportunities.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and strong presentation abilities
  • Strong presentation software (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote) expertise - including, but not limited to, an eye for design and understanding how to communicate visually
  • Capable of managing and working on multiple projects within tight deadlines
