Creative Adovcate
Creative Advocate
This role reports to the Head of Marketing and is expected to work out of our HQ in San Francisco 3 days per week.
Who We Are
At Vizcom, we’re redefining how physical products are brought from imagination to reality by merging AI with human creativity. Our mission is to help designers move from sketch to finished product at lightning speed. We’re seeking a Creative Advocate—a talented designer who thrives on pushing creative boundaries and is passionate about visual craft and interaction details. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our AI-powered sketching and collaboration tools, joining a small, fast-moving team that values initiative, experimentation, and a high standard of beauty.
The Role
As the Creative Advocate within the marketing team, you’ll be our designer-in-residence—creating in Vizcom every day and showcasing what's possible to the world. The bulk of your time will be spent hands-on designing: developing how-tos, workflow walkthroughs, and showcase pieces to inspire real designers.
You’ll deeply understand what designers care about, consistently push Vizcom’s creative limits, and show the global design community what’s achievable. You'll work closely with marketing to transform your creations into powerful launch assets, engaging social content, and campaign moments. You’ll act as the bridge between our designer community and their creative potential—demonstrating what Vizcom can do by being hands-on, public, and setting a high standard.
How You’ll Do It:
Create & Showcase
- Design daily in Vizcom, producing polished renders, iterations, and workflows in areas like footwear, industrial, automotive, apparel, and gaming
- Develop how-to and workflow content that demonstrates real-world design processes: prompt-to-render, iteration techniques, material passes, and concept-to-production paths
- Produce social-first content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn) supporting product adoption: feature drops, before/after transformations, speed-builds, and content busting the myth that "AI design tools can’t do that"
- Maintain a steady cadence of output, ensuring continually fresh, credible, designer-made proof points
Marketing Content Partnership
- Collaborate with the brand and product marketing team to create product assets for campaigns, launches, paid social, and the website
- Translate briefs from brand, product, and growth teams into on-message work that retains your creative voice
- Partner on hero visuals and case-study pieces anchoring major launches, sales, and partnership materials
Be a Community Expert
- Host office hours and support our designer community during Vizcom Challenges, new feature launches, and virtual events
- Connect regularly with Vizcom Product Experts and turn their insights into valuable content for the larger community
- Engage designers on platforms like Discord, Instagram, and LinkedIn to understand their needs and interests
- Represent Vizcom at industry events, meetups, and through creator collaborations as a designer in action, not just a brand ambassador
Product Feedback
- Serve as an internal advocate for designer needs, surfacing insights on friction points, feature gaps, and workflow successes
- Be among the first to use new features and rapidly create content around them following release
What You’ll Bring
- A background in industrial, product, footwear, automotive, apparel, or game/prop design—you know form, iteration, and deadline pressure from real experience
- Proficiency in Vizcom or similar tools (KeyShot, Gravity Sketch, Rhino, Adobe Suite, etc.)
- A maker’s mindset: you prefer demonstrating a workflow on canvas over creating slides; your main outputs are renders, videos, and posts
- Collaborative skills: you can take a brief, launch date, or campaign theme and turn it into impactful, market-ready work
- Strong communication: you speak the language of designers, understanding what matters most in critiques and presentations
- High agency: you don’t wait for permission; you proactively pitch, create, and deliver, treating this role as your own studio within Vizcom
Nice to Have
- A social following or presence within a design vertical
- Video shooting/editing or motion graphics skills
- Experience mentoring, teaching, or running workshops for designers
- Prior Vizcom experience
- Fluency across multiple design specialties
Benefits While Working at Vizcom
- 100% employer-sponsored medical coverage for employees; 25% coverage for dependents
- Dental, vision, and mental health care
- Equity
- Flexible PTO
- 401(k) with payroll match
- Generous annual Learning & Development allowance
- Paid parental leave
- One-time home office setup benefit for all remote employees
- Weekly catered lunch at HQ
- Monthly fitness stipend to help pay for a gym membership

- Zone 1 (e.g., SF, NYC): $150,000 - $170,000
The final offer, including the compensation package, will be determined by experience, location, and other business considerations. This package applies to W2, U.S.-based employees; local requirements and employment laws will apply.
